Yeah, If he makes her feel like she can take on the whole galaxy then she really is looking to him for support. That's the reason I don't get the people that think Shep is unflappable. I guess I get that it's role playing but if you choose to pursue the relationship with Kaidan especially playing paragon she pretty much admits that she needs him. I mean the choice itself seems to define the role your playing.
Agreed. This might just be my imagining things, but I somehow got the distinct impression that the Kaidan romance actually goes through several.. well.. stages, I suppose - the way it starts it seems that he has an interest in Shepard and she picks up on that and it starts off on a rather playful tone. As things progress, though, more and more things end piled up on her shoulders and he seems to be the one person who notices enough to tell her not to let it get to the point where she's crushed under the weight. Towards the end, it's serious simply because he's been there for her in a way no one else has.
To be honest, in retrospect I don't mind Horizon so much; it would've been great to shout back at him and have a bit more of a quarrel, but thinking about it I think the whole encounter was a bit too much of a shock for Kate in the least to process it properly. After all, on her end she told him to get into an escape pod, then fell into space, then woke up under attack from robots; as much as people say it's been two years, I'm not sure she really ever had the time to emotionally process the fact 'til Kaidan hits her in the face with it.
I admit all of this might just be in my mind as well since it's not exactly like BioWare speaks it out loud, and it's a bit of a stretch that you can't reply; on the other hand, the scene of Shepard staring at the picture somehow seemed to speak volumes.
I can't see how it wouldn't be turned into something in Mass Effect 3, seeing all that.
And.. (ye gods, this is really turning into one huge quote fest..)

While I'm complaining... what did you guys think of the leveling system... I had so many unused points it was just silly.
The thing I find annoying is when your squadmates come & stand directly in front of you when you are obviously shooting at something/someone, then they have the gall to rant at you for shooting them - don't stand in front of me when I'm shooting, moron.
I think I actually prefer the leveling system from ME1, I tend to use up all my Sheps points but I always have 1 or 2 points left over on all my squadmates. Never thought I would miss the Mako either but scanning gets old after about the 10th planet.

Glad you said that (about the squadmates). I get so annoyed with them at times (last night Grunt must have run in front of my Shep about 10 times) that I'd like to make it hurt or at least be able to answer back (well, then stay out of the way dumba**!)

So here's a question. How do we all think Kaidan's promotion is going to effect the dynamic in the relationshi?. And dang....two ranks in two years? His MOS field must be hurting like a mofo. Or he's just that good...
EDIT: Yes Fort, Mich...I left that open ended at the end just for you

I'm not too scared of changed PC specs for ME3, but I did just drop a bunch of money back in October after my last PCs motherboard decided to die. It was just easier to rebuild brand new than replace the motherboard and processor on the old machine.
I had big plans to upgrade my computer in readiness for DAO & ME2, but I only got as far as a new graphics card. Unfortunately going through a divorce at the moment so lawyers are eating up all my spare cash, plus the fact that my 17 year old was going to die if his computer wasn't upgraded to an all singing, all dancing machine - he even named the thing sovereign, lol. Hopefully mine will get an upgrade before ME3 - luckily my 17 yr old is a computer whizz/nerd so he can build me one if I buy the parts, that way I get exactly what I want.
To be honest I'm not so sure that she has processed the fact that it's been two years since the Normandy went down. Being busy with the collectors more than likely has kept her occupied enough that she hasn't had to deal with it yet at least if you're playing faithful to your LI. If a person cheats they could argue that their Shep had moved on and dealt with it...again the choice determining the role your playing.

I notice with a lot of people's dead XBoXs, they never dusted them
Everyone in efforts to keep everyone's Kaidan from being burned in a red ring of death, please keep a can of air next to your XBOX and use it regularly. You see, an XBOX is essentially, a computer. A computer's native environment is 0 degress Kelvin, where superconduction allows it to run at optimum efficiency. However, in order for us to enjoy Kai Kai goodness, the XBOX has had to adapt to a newer, warmer environment. And adapt it has. However, continuous build up of dust blocks the air flow its adaptive fans create to cool the XBOX in the human habitat. Thus frequent dusting is essential the health and well being of your xbox.It much less hassel than having to get your XBOX replaced.

And good morning everyone. Yeah, I know it's late.

Yeah, I meant more that for however much she's intellectually aware it's been two years, Kaidan is likely the first real emotional slap in the face about just how long it's really been and how much she's missed. Tali, Garrus, Wrex, Anderson.. it's like seeing good friends again, and it could just as well have been two weeks as it could've been two years. With Kaidan.. it really strikes home, especially since Shepard really doesn't have time to deal with it because she has a mission to accomplish.MICHELLE7 wrote...

When she talks to Joker about Kaidan she says time is not all she's lost and that she's sick of this garbage...I think it's her way of saying she want her life back but she really hasn't got time to deal with it at that moment. I kind of think that Kaidan and Shep reconciling in ME3 will go a long way in helping her be able to deal with the time she's lost and heal a lot of wounds with both of them...sorry I'm rambling.

Hahahaha...my husband, who is monopolizing the Kaidan machine right now, is mocking his squadies for just this thing right now. "Get out of my f@&$* line of fire you (*#&%*(@&"
And I've also noticed that Miranda's "I've been hit" sounds are kinda...well they sound a bit orgasmic....
