I would be excited about the Liara/Shadow Broker DLC if it happens, but I could not care less about Kasumi.  From what I've heard she doesn't look interesting to me at all.

Who is Kasumi?

People have datamined the game and seen files for a female human thief/infiltrator type character named Kasumi.  She's only partially complete, leading people to believe she'll be a DLC character like Zaeed.

Ugh...I hated Zaeed.  The only reason he's on my XBOX right now is because my husband downloaded him onto my account.  In my games, his butt never leaves Omega.

I actually used Zaeed...nice to have someone I didn't have to worry about cheesy dialog with. But there were too many squad members in my opinion...we didn't even need the 10 we had. 6 or 7 (maybe 8) would have been enough. And I agree with them developing the characters they already have...I'd love to see that happen.

I can see where BioWare were going with this dirty dozen assemble the team business but it fails on me because I just *don't care* about half the characters. Even the ones that amuse me like Grunt. I like Grunt. But I'm not at all invested in his character.
Then there's Mr. Bland Porn Star Jacob and Jack who needs a large slice of get over yourself and so on.

I found myself constantly wanting the old crew back.

See, I would have to say the two returning crew members had the best quests.  And it seemed more plausible that Shep would walk through fire for the crew that backed her up when she went up against Saren.

Garrus has always struggled with the whole I want to be a good guy but if I follow the rules bad guys get away dilema.  His quest carried over characterization already developed in the first game, the whole should I be a SPECTRE should I go back to C-Sec, do I kill Dr. Saleon or try to bring him in bits.  And his quest continues Garrus' little search for answers about morality and justification. 

Tali is the same way.  It was obvious she cared for her people deeply in the first game, and that was corrobrated by the people you talked to when you finally met the Flotilla in the second. 

These quests were more meaningful for me.  They were about characters I already cared about, kept in characterization, and furthered personal dilemas we already knew these "friends" had.

It's not like the rest where the characters are like, "Hey I know I just met you but can I dump all my personal baggage on you, 'cause it's not like we're busy or anything."

Agree with all of your comments, guys. I'd probably have been pretty much just as happy if we'd just gotten Tali and Garrus back, and hadn't gotten any new recruits.

I could have quite happily had Garrus back & 4 others. I mean you can only take 2 with you on any given mission so not sure why so many were needed. I didn't want Tali, she annoys the hell out of me for some reason. Think it her voice - I wear hearing aids cause I'm deaf as a post and for some reason her voice just grates on them, lol. Would have preferred a bit more reaper driven story rather than go to all parts of galaxy to find someone's dead father, rescue, someones cloned sister, blow up someone childhood nightmare, etc. I missed Admiral Hackett calling with a mission - don't even know why they were called N7 missions in ME2 - go to system accidently find a bunch of mercs while scanning, destroy mercs, continue on your merry way.

I agree, they aren't N7 missions hell they felt more like a lacky for Tim.  I disliked being a lacky for Tim, and it felt really good pissing him off at the end thought.
