I could have quite happily had Garrus back & 4 others. I mean you can only take 2 with you on any given mission so not sure why so many were needed. I didn't want Tali, she annoys the hell out of me for some reason. Think it her voice - I wear hearing aids cause I'm deaf as a post and for some reason her voice just grates on them, lol. Would have preferred a bit more reaper driven story rather than go to all parts of galaxy to find someone's dead father, rescue, someones cloned sister, blow up someone childhood nightmare, etc. I missed Admiral Hackett calling with a mission - don't even know why they were called N7 missions in ME2 - go to system accidently find a bunch of mercs while scanning, destroy mercs, continue on your merry way.

Tali was not one of the couple I was thinking about. She grates on my nerves for another reason...she's always seemed a little biotchy to me. She jumped all over my Shep for even suggesting the Quarians find a new home world. Garrus wasn't one of them either..sad to say.

I really liked Samara from the start...wasn't fond of her quest but I liked her. And Mordin...liked him and his quest. But even those two paled in comparison to Kaidan/Ash, Liara and Wrex from ME in my opinion. ME squadmates were likable from the start and didn't need some quest to make me feel sorry for them just so I would like them after...or at least that 's the way it felt to me.

I really liked Samara. She was just so... resolute and set in her ways. And she brought a certain mysticism to the Asari. I really enjoyed her.

Ooh, song time? This came up on my playlist today, I thought it fit ME2 Shep thinking of Kaidan rather nicely:

I Don't Have Anything by Vast

i stood on mountaintops

that overlooked the world

i can't find anything

except a void inside

i went to places where

i could forget your name

i can't find anything

except a void inside

i don't have anything

because i don't have you

i don't have anything

what can i buy to make the sky turn blue again?

where can i go to feel like i'm alive again?

show me the places

where i can forget your name

i can't find anything

except a void inside

i don't have anything

because i don't have you

i don't have anything

i've been stripped of everything

except some flesh that bleeds

and i've been robbed of everything

except a soul, except a soul

that needs

you

sweet you

i don't have anything

because i don't have you

i don't have anything

I wish Samara's loyalty mission had been longer, I thought it was a really fun concept.

I just liked beating up turians.  I could totally imagine Shep thinking in a mocking voice, "ah yes, he says, reapers he says" while she goes to town on them in the bar.

It is, isn't it? Perfect for a sad post-Horizon Shep. She's lost everything she had. Even her badass facial scars.:crying:

Shepard: "How'd you like them "Reapers"? Huh? Huh?!" *punch*
Turian: :o

I actually found Samara & Thanes loyalty quests to be the ones I least liked (if that makes sense).  After a couple of playthroughs I really struggled to bother with them.

Only reason I didn't get Tali exiled was because then she would have been stuck on the Normandy - at least this way I can hope that there is an option to persuade her to go back to the fleet & help prepare them for the reapers.

I feel a lot closer to some of the ME1 squadmates than I ever will to the ME2 squad.  I just found that I could take or leave most of them.  Although I'm probably the only person who actually prefers Grunt to Wrex.

I feel like my Shep is Grunt's mom or something, in a very, very odd kind of way.

Samara's fine for me, because it's basically just click on some stuff, click on xyz response, pick Samara or Morinth and take off. Thane's mission is, yeah. It was a novel concept, but following the two dudes on the catwalk was the most frustrating part in the game for me.

:\\ Yeah... I was pretty disappointed with his mission. I did however like that little cutscene where he literally disappears in the crowd. That was awesome. :)

After Horizon I always think of either Against all Odds by Phil Collins or When the War is Over (Cold Chisel sang it here in Aus) - showing my age here, lol

I know what you mean Thane's mission was the hardest for me to get. Samara is someone that I really liked in the game other than Kaidan. I respect her more as a comrade. Tail does get on your nerves a little. She chews you out for even suggesting that what they did to the Geth were wrong. I had said what did you expect they do let her people kill them, and she chewed me out for saying that. I loved Liara, Ashley, Wrex, Garrus and Kaidan a lot better than I did Tail after that.

I loved Thane's loyalty mission :x Of course, it didn't feel as sneaky as it could have. Wehn you're 10 feet away from the target yelling into your earpiece "He's on the move!"

I also really liked Miranda, not necessarily her quest, but as a character I had a lot of fun with her.

Not to mention being in full armour with all your heavy weapons still on your back.
"Clank clank clank" comes to mind here..
