Yeah, abit better thanks. And nice - torn between Blasto and trying my hand at a non-fan fiction myself, heh. Just trying to work out if my concept is any good or not.

I really liked Samara. She was just so... resolute and set in her ways. And she brought a certain mysticism to the Asari. I really enjoyed her.
Same here...I liked her right from the start...Most of the other characters were unlikable from the start at least from my perspective. Still liked the ME ones better overall though.

I can see where BioWare were going with this dirty dozen assemble the team business but it fails on me because I just *don't care* about half the characters. Even the ones that amuse me like Grunt. I like Grunt. But I'm not at all invested in his character.
Then there's Mr. Bland Porn Star Jacob and Jack who needs a large slice of get over yourself and so on.
I found myself constantly wanting the old crew back.
Same here...once I was through with each one's side quest I quickly forgot about them with the exception of a couple.
See, I would have to say the two returning crew members had the best quests. And it seemed more plausible that Shep would walk through fire for the crew that backed her up when she went up against Saren.
Garrus has always struggled with the whole I want to be a good guy but if I follow the rules bad guys get away dilema. His quest carried over characterization already developed in the first game, the whole should I be a SPECTRE should I go back to C-Sec, do I kill Dr. Saleon or try to bring him in bits. And his quest continues Garrus' little search for answers about morality and justification.
Tali is the same way. It was obvious she cared for her people deeply in the first game, and that was corrobrated by the people you talked to when you finally met the Flotilla in the second.
These quests were more meaningful for me. They were about characters I already cared about, kept in characterization, and furthered personal dilemas we already knew these "friends" had.
It's not like the rest where the characters are like, "Hey I know I just met you but can I dump all my personal baggage on you, 'cause it's not like we're busy or anything."
I kept Garrus with me most of my first play through, I felt that with the confusion Shep had to be feeling over everything she’d been through that she would gravitate towards him to help her figure everything out. That and I’ve always been fond of Garrus.
I wish there could have been dialogue options like in DA where you could jus talk to your party members whenever you wanted to , there could have been a lot of great conversations between Garrus and Shep.
Yeah, It would have been nice to have the ability to talk to your party members like in DAO. I liked the stuff you got out of Ash and Kaidan in ME when they went into Chora's den for the first time. I mean you can't really interact with them like you can in DAO. but you do get the little conversations they say between themselves(similar to the trigger places in DAO).

I like Samara too and that really suprised me. After the first game I didn't care for the asari. I think they were portrayed much better in ME2. There are a lot of cool asari. Still, they had to have Shiala all up in my face. Hello, personal space!

I would be excited about the Liara/Shadow Broker DLC if it happens, but I could not care less about Kasumi. From what I've heard she doesn't look interesting to me at all.
I still think it would be interesting if they made a parallel DLC for Kaidan/Ash where you help them take down Cerberus. Kinda wonder if Bioware might have purposely left out material for ME2 just for the DLC's since EA wants to focus on DLC material more now.
OMG I that would be perfect.
Well if Liara gets a DLC, where does that leave the other two ME1 LI's? Right now they all have rather crappy cameos (though I hate Liara seems to kiss Shepard and Kaidan/Ash do not hehe), but one of them has a comic and will possibly get DLC? Hmmph.
Kaidan/Ash's role in ME3 must be huge if they want to even it all out or they should get DLC as well
The thing with the dlc they found in the cooked pc file...I'm not sure it's what they think. Liara has three files there...one does say dlc and the other two say intro(I'm assuming one is the intro you get with her when you first meet with her and the second one is the one you get every time you talk to her again). Kaidan and Ash have two files a piece...one is an intro the other one says end. I'm not so sure that the dlc one that Liara has is nothing more than a loop that contains her conversation(Kaidan and Ash wouldn't have one since once you speak to them you can't speak with them again)...can't say that for sure of course but I know that Zaeed doesn't have a file that says DLC and he is a dlc(and you don't talk to him like you do Liara). Just speculation on my part but it would be nice to have a dlc for all three. Kind of a long wait till ME3 with such a short appearance of them in ME2.

I must say that was satisfying during my renegade playthrough to not have all those people aggrivating me. It seems so many people didn't make it out of their introductions in ME1.

They certainly did! And then they learned what a shotgun at point blank range felt like.

More than enough. Let's not even get into Sha'ira in the first game. I miss sweet Kaidan.

morning. One of the first times I can say I'm genuinely not looking
forward to the weekend. I may need a lot of Kaidan love to make it
through this one.

Thanks. Yeah, there's a guy I'm interested in at school; one of my roommate's friends who I ended up also becoming friends with. Only problem is, he already has a girlfriend. And said girlfriend is coming to visit this weekend. And will be crashing on our couch. If I didn't have things like skating lessons, volunteering, work, and D&D going on this weekend, I would totally find an excuse to get off campus. Don't particularly feel like playing Eponine to her Cosette.

No matter if I play Paragon / Renegade, it always seems like my Shep's "security blanket" is one of her guns. I have a preference for the shotgun in game, but I can see it with just about any of the weapons (even the Cain

That seems a little... dangerous. I'm a fan of the assault rifle myself. *Resists urge to make comment about Kaidan's "assault rifle"*
Dangerous... but c'mon... it's Shep. She always has a gun!
