Shep wouldn't settle for any lame ending so why should we?

Well I wouldn't lose too much sleep if Liara did.  *Ducks in case someone decides to throw something at her*

I mean, okay, yes, even though I personally can't stand that Asari, it wouldn't be fair for Bioware to shortchange her fans.  Ash, though... I would be upset if Bioware didn't give Ash justice in the ending.

I'm more worried about Garrus and Tali than Liara or Ash.  Even if I didn't romance him, he's still a best pal to all my Sheps and Tali's her BFF.

And Ash will undoubtedly get the same ending Kaiden gets: for some reason all the LI's are in pairs.

I think the whole Virmire thing forced Ash and Kaidan's roles in the rest of the trilogy to be more or less interchangable since only one of them is alive in any given playthrough.  Hmm... now there's an interesting topic for debate.  Was that a good idea overall?  I guess we'll have to wait and see when ME3 is done.

I demand a happy ending too. I'm sorry, but DA was just unacceptable to me. Even my PC getting to marry Alistair wasn't what I would define as happy. Oh, I just have to let my man sleep with and impregnate another woman and then I can marry him? Well, that's definitely an offer too good to pass up!!!

No, I want a seriously good ending. I definitely want to see some affection between Shep and Kaidan and I want them together at the end. Together. As in, now we have a relationship and we're going to off to be together. Not as in the standard lame ending of "who knows whether we'll survive? Pass the darkspawn blood, please."

What happened to Wash still bugs me.  I love Whedon, but why did he have to kill him like that :(
If that happens to Kaidan someone at Bioware will have to be sacrificed to the smoothie gods

So does that make all ME2 characters interchangable too, since well they can possibly share the same fate? :)

Wash wasn't the only one he did it to, either.  I think the only reason Angel survived as long as he did was that David Boreanaz got the spin off.

Same here concerning DA. Though I'm sure Bioware got what they wanted with their dark and edgy, emotional engaged stuff. Just not my thing.

I don't know. They may be interchangable, or BW may surprise us and go all out since this is the ending.

Reposting with the slightly bigger head, keeping the neck the way it is since I like it and it follows the original jawline height. Though I do think he needs to be placed in a ME background...maybe take Jacob's place in Shepard's cabin in the lean against wall thing. *ponders* Old image removed, hence the error in the quote above.

Wow, what a great picture to wake up to... I love the Alliance-looking pants. I could see this being him on shore leave, just having woken up, taking a minute to enjoy the morning sunshine before he finishes getting dressed.

Double curses!

Anywho, I'm detecting a high temperature in the anger spectrum of the thread at the moment over the endings to DA and ME. tbh, Bioware aren't known for a great deal of happy endings...

Sadly 'going all out' still has to be done within a budget.

Ideally Kaidan/Ashley would have been part of your crew for all three games.  If I had to choose between the Virmire decision or having them in a suicide mission I pick Virmire.  At least that way one of them is guaranteed to be alive in ME3.  Hopefully that means a large, meaningful role as a crew member and LI in ME3.

No, because they live and die more or less independently of each other as far as I know (never personally seen an ending where anyone died)  So you could potentially have a playthrough where both Jack and Thane are alive, a playthrough where they're both dead, or a playthrough where one is and one isn't.  The important thing with Ash and Kaidan that forced them into interchangable roles is the fact that one of them had to die and the other one had to live.

I dunno if they're totally interchangable, but I hope to God ME2 is the last we see of Kaiden in pink armor....

They just seemed to have been all created in pairs.  You've got Cerberus Ken and Barbie, The Former Grasshoppers: Tali & Garrus, and the Angst Twins: Jack & Thane.

Hmm true. Think there's a thread somewhere of someone who made charts of all possible character setups. I glanced at it and my mind melted so immediately left the thread again. I'm made for simpler stuff, like stripping Kaidan of his clothes. :D
