Too bad I have a crummy work lunch to go to and the vote was for Mexican. :(

I remember those days of crummy work lunches.  I guess that is a perk to being a stay-at-home mom.  Even if the kids and their craziness make it hard to post on this thread sometimes :D

I keep telling the boyfriend if he can make enough money that I'll become all domesticated and do the house wife thing. I mean, I certainly wouldn't spend all day posting here and reading about Kaidan? Posted Image

Dollhouse was certainly a different kind of show, and I understand the lack of mass appeal from it. I enjoyed it, primarily for certain actors/characters (Paul, Topher, Claire, Bennett, Adelle).
I must say that I really did like the change of character type Joss got for Summer Glau when he wrote her into the series post-Terminator. It was a nice change from River and her Terminator character.

I have a theory that Summer Glau carries a curse that cancels shows (Firefly, Terminator, Dollhouse).

She caught it from Nathan Fillion.  Let's hope Castle stays around.

I have been bad and not watching Castle since it came back from Christmas hiatus. I love him on that show (and the actual book they published wasn't terrible).

I have only seen a few episodes.  I had them all on my DVR and then it decided to eat them :pinched:  Going to have to rent them through Netflix.

I dunno... Gaider was infected by Whedon disease... he based Alistair on Xander and Mal Reynolds.

Can we pray to the digital gods that the ME2 writing team is immune?  Please?  I'll even sacrifice a chocolate cake!

OMG, it's the ultimate chocolate cake sacrifice! They cannot refuse! Mmmmmnomnomnom. :D

I'll even throw in chocolate ice cream.  I'm that desperate.

as long as you don't throw in the strawbs & cream

Only as a last resort.  It's our secret weapon.

It's been on hiatus since the Olympics anyway.

I'm in the shipping business. Alcohol tolerance should be a job requirement but the company got all paranoid a few years ago and has put a cease on it. I think in fear that the employees wouldn't come back from lunches.

That one and the smoochy one are still two of my favorites.

Yeah I think this one & bad boy Kaidan are my faves, although I'll take any Kaidan I can get

Hmm badboy Kaidan is lovely too. But still, I like this one best still. And the latest shirtless Kaidan I think. Creating quite a collection so far, it'll be huge before ME3 gets released

Good morning everyone! Jhosephine, I love the new shirtless Kaidan!

Man, don't even get me started on Joss Whedon. When I heard that Inara even had an incurable disease that would have been mentioned later in the series, I groaned so hard.

As a fan, it's incredibly hard not to be bitter. There was Tara and Anya on BtVS, Cordy and Fred on Angel, Wash on Firefly, Penny in Dr. Horrible, and Mellie and Paul on Dollhouse. And then to top it all off he took my favorite all time comic book character, Kitty Pryde, and blew her into space. Luckily no one ever really dies in comic books, and she'll be back this month in the X-Men, but that was my breaking point. Nobody messes with Kitty and gets away with it.

I'm a brit. Entering a city centre at night on weekends requires a tolerance to beatings and broken bottles. Yeah, we're not good drunks as a people.

At least Joss didn't mess with Jayne and Miss Betty (think that was the name).

It's strange to think that Joss Whedon was one of the original writers on Toy Story, you can just imagine what dark twists and turns could have happened to Buzz and Woody.

I agree it is hard not to hold a grudge against him.  Whedon is very talented and there is certainly a shortage of well made sci-fi shows on TV.  I just wish he would be a little kinder to the awesome characters he creates.  You know, stop killing them in quick, horrific ways.

Rephase that, I'd say - Stop killing them off - because if you just tell him to not kill'em quick, he'll just do it slow, heh.

*Wanders in rubbing her eyes* Good morning. One of the first times I can say I'm genuinely not looking forward to the weekend. I may need a lot of Kaidan love to make it through this one.

Well, you know where to find that. Hang in there.

Not quite finished yet, still working on it and possibly turning it into a wallpaper etc etc. But still, it sure as hell makes me happy ;) And yes it's big, high res stuff ftw. Forum resizes it though..hehe

Random music interjection: I have been listening to Delerium, and I find their song "Underwater" to be highly evocative in combination with our Blessed Illustrator's pictures of Kaidan swimming, and showering...oh yes, the showering. Ahem. Anyway...if anyone's making playlist notes, it's a good 'un.

IMO the Rank 1 remix of said song is even better, but it only appears as a bonus track on the album "Chimera" so it's quite hard to find on the interwebz.

I feel like there's this overall perception that happy endings are bad, bad, bad. I love David Gaider, I do, but he gets prickly at the mere mention of happy endings. What's up with that. I feel like the overall impression is that happy endings are pedestrian and for the peasants. True art demands angst, death, angst, unhappiness, angst, spending twenty years dying of darkspawn madness, and some more angst, just for good measure. I don't get that. Any ending can be cheesy. Happy endings aren't inherently more cheesy, nor do they have less literary value simply because they're happy. I want to issue this challenge to BioWare: Do a happy ending and make it a good one. The angsty endings have been done to death. Stretch yourselves a bit, people. Live outside of your comfort zone, why don't you?

Wow, I sound so bitter. lol I just would like some serious satisfaction at the end of a game, for once. I will give ME1 kudos. I loved the slow smile spreading over Kaidan's face as he realized that my Shep wasn't dead after all.
