That one and the smoochy one are still two of my favorites.

Will redo that one at some point, just to make it bigger...if possible big enough for a wallpaper because I love it :) So much to do....

If you made it big enough for a wallpaper, I would fly to wherever you are if necessary to get it on my desktop!

Back on the subject of dates for a second, I could so see Shepard and Kaidan doing an Isle Esme type thing.

I feel like there's this overall perception that happy endings are bad, bad, bad. I love David Gaider, I do, but he gets prickly at the mere mention of happy endings. What's up with that. I feel like the overall impression is that happy endings are pedestrian and for the peasants. True art demands angst, death, angst, unhappiness, angst, spending twenty years dying of darkspawn madness, and some more angst, just for good measure. I don't get that. Any ending can be cheesy. Happy endings aren't inherently more cheesy, nor do they have less literary value simply because they're happy. I want to issue this challenge to BioWare: Do a happy ending and make it a good one. The angsty endings have been done to death. Stretch yourselves a bit, people. Live outside of your comfort zone, why don't you?

Wow, I sound so bitter. lol I just would like some serious satisfaction at the end of a game, for once. I will give ME1 kudos. I loved the slow smile spreading over Kaidan's face as he realized that my Shep wasn't dead after all.

I'm happy beaing a peasant, then.  I write nothing but happy endings.  When I do actually finish a story, that is.

Yay! Another Texan!  *hugs Lady Winde*

Yeah, I had a bit of a hissy fit when Wash died.  I mean, I handled Shepard Book okay, but, Wash?  Why?  Just why?  WHO KILLS THE COMIC RELIEF CHARCTER IN A HORRIFIC WAY RIGHT WHEN I FEEL LIKE EVERYONE IS SAFE?

It's just wrong.

Wait, what?  Inara incurable disease?

Yep, here's the quote from the Firefly wikipedia page about Inara:

A subplot for Inara was hinted at throughout the series. First, Joss Whedon explained in the DVD audio commentary for the pilot episode that the syringe Inara takes out during the Reaver encounter is not for suicide. Second, when the ship is disabled in the episode "Out of Gas," Simon said, "I don't want to die [on this ship]," to which Inara replied, "I don't want to die at all." In "Heart of Gold", Nandi mentions that she did not age at all. During a panel at 2008's DragonCon, Morena Baccarin confirmed that Inara was indeed dying of a terminal illness.

Maybe it's time to change my sig back to the rabid fangirl quote.  Grrr....

Although, that kinda sounds like a stretch.  A syringe, meh.  And no body wants to die.  And of course an old friend is going to say you aged well, not, "WOW!  You look like a hag today."  Well, most friends. I have some strange ones.

This talk about tragedy and twists and such reminds me of the interview we read a few days ago - the suggestion was that the ME trilogy is following the normal 3-act arc. Usually if you see bliss in Act 2, it ends in ironic tragedy in Act 3; when you see tragedy and plot twistage in Act 2, that usually means there will be some kind of reconciliation in Act 3. That doesn't mean there will or should be an over-the-top ending either though - there are a lot of other ways for them to end the trilogy well without there being a syrup-fest wedding situation... which my Shepard would hate, anyway, haha. "You want me to wear...what?"

 that weird, because I have 3 parters have happy endings.

Right... There are lots of 3-act things that have happy endings. Those usually have twist or drama or tragedy in act 2, which is resolved for the better in act 3. I think Mass Effect falls into that category - ME2 was dramatic and tragic enough, and if they're following the regular pattern, that suggests that ME3 will involve reconciliation and resolution - i.e. a happy ending. :)

That's only three hours from me.  I'm in Jacksonville.  Oh sweet, we could have several simultaneous, multi-state, Kaidan fangirl celebrations.

I want! <3

I am single, and live on my own, thankfully. Though my mom is coming for a visit and will probably wonder why there is a ficitional shirtless character on my desktop.

However, she cannot deny the fact that he is the sexy.
