I would totally go there.
Course, I think I'm going to Dragon*Con in Atlanta again this year (as the boyfriend has a room already reserved from last year).

It's the unexpected that makes it right or wrong to me. Not the endless pain or endless fluff piled on top of eachother till it becomes silly. So in Shepard/Kaidans case, I think I've seen enough tragedy for me to accept even more. How much can a human being take, even a hero? Enough is enough, fight the epic glorious battle and win the man you love in some exciting, mind blowing last chapter. Having a happy ending doesn't have to mean you can't be on the edge of your seat prior to it and again in a replay despite knowing it will end well.
Agreed. I've commented on this happy ending thing for Shep & Kaidan before but thinking back to endings like Neverwinter Nights 2 (that's a good example of how a tragic ending can be just as cheesy as an overly romantic one) I'm really REALLY scared that they will deny Shepard her happily ever after. Altough I enjoyed ME2 as an action game, story wise I constantly fealt like I was forced to do this and forced to do that...I was also, in a sense, forced to romance an alien or a non-appealing human if I wanted to have any romance in my story at all this time around.
I do hope we will be given the choice for a happy ending with Kaidan and not have some overly tragic plot twist that will take it away from us (like...being crushed under a falling Reaper?). I already feel bad about being yelled at on Horizon withouth having the chance to even explain myself

Never been to any of the Con's myself. Thinking of going to one next year though, if I can.

The bf is gonna hate sitting behind my pc now, made a wallpaper of Kai Kai. Can't really see the details this small but still wanted to show it:lol:
The poor guy, but I'll think of a way to make it up to him
I want! <3
I am single, and live on my own, thankfully. Though my mom is coming for a visit and will probably wonder why there is a ficitional shirtless character on my desktop.
However, she cannot deny the fact that he is the sexy.
I'll post the high res version in a bit..need to retouch something first.
So bf got home and I figured offense is the best defense so I call him over and he starts grinning and goes 'You looking at naked men again?"
I just smiled and pointed to my desktop and he went "Yeah that's a nice body. Oh well, as long as you make them in my image, it's all good." And he starts laughing. So sweet

Casavir for me. Bishop could have been interesting if not for that horrid sniffing/deep breathing/whatever of his all the darn time. It annoyed me, so I started paying more attention to it and that ruined the character for me. Yes, I'm odd

(I wasn't serious about the naked part but everything else totally!)

Truth be told, DA was rather too emo for me. Now, I am an angst queen. I love angst and drama in a movie or book or computer game, I truly do. Even my original works of fiction contain plenty of angst. However, I do *not* like things that are nothing but angst. Life isn't like that, it simply isn't. There are moments of happiness and beauty. I won't get into personal specifics here, but I've had some very crap things happen in my life, but I've also had some extremely happy things happen. It's the happy stuff that makes life worth living.
Personally, I don't really want a wedding scene. I'm not sure I even have to have an engagement. What I do want is for my Shep to have the chance to come to an understanding with Kaidan that they love one another and want to be together. I think BioWare has misunderstood its female demographic in some respect. I saw a post on one of the DA threads where the writers were grumbling because they gave the ladies the "fairytale ending" and we *still* weren't happy. Well, I didn't ask for a "fairytale ending"--not that there's anything wrong with them as they have their value too. What I did want was a reasonably happy ending. I am not at all opposed to tragic stories. When done right, they're amazing, but I thought there was more than enough tragedy in DA. Actually, what I really thought was, "Why do these people even bother? Why not just give up and let the darkspawn take over?"
