Yes, it is. But probably much colder where you are.

Just wondering how far north. Most NorCal bookstores seem to be chains these days...except in some of the very small towns. (Yes, I'm in Northern California.) My favorite scifi/fantasy bookstore is Dark Carnival in Berkeley.
It was somewhere in the Pleasanton area, as I recall. And it wasn't a specifically sci-fi/fantasy bookstore. It was more like a general used book store and I just happened to find that gem.
I was wondering as my husband and I like to find and browse used bookstores. Husband loves to find very old books and stories, particularly old (hard) science fiction stories.

I don't remember the name or the precise location... it must have been close to 10 years ago now that I found that book.

Real name is Sarah. My sister had a speech issue when she was very little and couldn't say her "R's." My name came out "Sia."
Funny thing is, I don't answer to Sarah, especially not in crowds. Too many of us. (WE ARE LEGION *ahem*) You want to catch my attention, yell Sia.
Ah. I'm the exact opposite; I'm so used to being the only Chelsea that whenever someone says that name, I automatically assume they're talking to me. There are a couple other Chelseas that I know at Bowdoin, though, one of whom I share a class with this semester, so whenever the teacher says, "Chelsea" I respond, even if he isn't talking to me.
I've always wanted a unique name. That's why my Shepards and Wardens are all Moiras and Averys and Emmas and Gillians.

*smirks and hugs* Anywho... I'm drifting off now so I'll lurk for another few minutes and then go off to sleep myself.

No worries. I'm always surprised to come across them in this area; seems we're overrun by Borders and Barnes & Noble.

I was reading Tristan & Iseult for an English class when I first started playing videogames. For some reason I never identified with Iseult but Tristan became my first character name. Otherwise I use Irish names like Sorcha, Aoife, or Soibhan for my Sheps and Wardens.
I usually use Tristan on-line but when I first came to the Bioware boards several years ago it was taken. In fact, everything I entered seemed to be taken so I closed my eyes, opened the dictionary and pointed. Luckily my finger landed on "Star" and it wasn't taken. The 58 is also random.

My middle name is Emma! I like to give my Sheps/Wardens Latinate/mythology inspired names, though. Hestia Cousland, Bellara Shepard...I have a lot of Romola Garais in NWN2, too, that is just such an awesome name! *jealous* Have a Ralitsa Shep, too, named after a CNN news anchor - she's my Renegon.

Hey,
Jacob Fanboy, I'm also the president of the Jacob Taylor Support Group,
so yes I think Jacob Taylor is sweet. Perfect Bromance, good man,
reliable, not bad at combat (at least for my style, very up
close/aggressive). However I do agree that the romance option for Mr.
Taylor is shall we say... off. I think it's ****ing hilarious, laugh my
ass off every time I watch the final romance scene, but I sort of blame
Femshep for that mostly, she came on waaaaay too strong. But if you
stay with the neutral speech options with Femshep you create a
relationship with Jacob similar as to the one between Maleshep and
Jacob.

I demand that something like this be in ME3. You hear me, Bioware?
Edit: Switched order to be a little more logical.
