It's a mission... to the Salon! Or... the mall! Hmmm but my Shepard has the tendency to shoot anything that *squees* like a tween girl. This will be a tricky mission indeed.
Ah, true - I didn't see he said specifically 'a DLC mission'.
Not sure - maybe its a mission to visit Kaidan on the citadel, if you know what I mean? *waggles comically large eyebrows*

Grins I could never like Thane as much as I loved Kaidan. He just had to much emo for me, and I hate emo's they suck hard. The only love interest, in ME2 for Female Shepard that I liked was Garrus.
So far, I agree with you. Though I'll be forcing myself through Jacob's and Thane's on my guineapig Shepard. I don't like to make up my mind without all the evidence.

Photoshop, I think - it looks like... the "depressed looking at the photo" bit from ME2 with Kaidan and new outfit photoshoped besides her.

So far, I feel like the ME1 LI fans have been completely thrown under the bus. <_<
Doesn't really feel that way to me. From a dev. Q&A:
Actually, I know the person that asked that question
It does feel that way for me still. Ash and Kaidan were given almost the same exact lines. After everyone freaked out about the ME1 LIs not being squadmates, Casey was saying how important they were to the story of ME2 etc.
In the meantime, Chris Preistly and Stanley Woo were warning us that they had extremely small parts in ME2.
Guess who turned out to be right?
Honestly, I worry that they'll still be cameos come ME3 and in particular, the roles of Ashley and Kaidan will become so interchangeable that their dialogue will be almost the same. I find it very hard to trust someone on their words alone.
I really, really doubt it. If what they have in mind for the ME 1 LIs is so important that they need to be kept out of harm's way (which seems likely, since it holds true for every LI), it would make zero sense for them to have s*** parts. Literally the only reason they would do that would be to ****** off the consumer base. (Given they have freakin' Martin Sheen in ME2, I'm assuming that it's not to cut corners on the VA budget.
Did Kai, Ash, and Liara get shafted in 2? Sure. Is BioWare incompetent? Not by a mile.

Kelly: Shepard, you have a new message at your private terminal.
*Shepard walks over and opens a "Mission ciritical" message*
To: Shepard
From: Admiral Hackett, Fifth Fleet
Commander,
Something has come to our attention, and you're the only person that can get it done. One of your former crew, Kaidan Alenko is on the Citadel. Word is that he hasn't been with a woman in over two years since you died. Reports say that he has become increasingly irritable. This cannot go on, Shepard. He needs to get laid, and soon.
I'm uploading the coordinates of a shop that you can purchase fuzzy handcuffs, flavored lotions and a sexy outfit. We will be forwarding a sum of 3,000 credits to your account so that you can best prepare for this mission.
Thank you for taking the time to do this for us. I know you work for Cerberus now, but you are absolutely the only person for this job.
Good luck, Commander

The problem with Thane's story is that it's unnecessarily tragic. Why have a dying man on a suicide mission? Isn't that redundant?

Hmm, wouldn't getting a cure DLC make Thane's whole story redundant? All his dialogue, his loyalty mission etc is about him wanting to make things right or something. So you recruit him, he says 'I'm dying' and somewhere along the way you can cure him. Twill be fun to see how they are going to integrate it into his ME2 story.
They can set the DLC after his loyalty mission...but I dunno, curing a dying man only to take him with you on a suicide mission shortly after is cruel imo

I tried to be diplomatic when I posted there, but UGH, NO,, if it's a cure for Thane. They gave him a tragic, hackneyed, rehashed backstory, because they thought that was what women wanted. YUCK. Even if I were interested in aliens besides asaris for a love interest, which I'm not, I would not want to give Bioware the impression that I approve of this message. Even if it's free, I'm not downloading a cure for Thane DLC. Eww.

And Kaidan is 5 votes ahead of Thane and Garrus.

I thought it just made too much sense. "All right guys, we may not be coming back so we better make peace with our demons. Well cept for fish-eyes there. He's just boned regardless. Your silly gods and sappy poetry can't save you now!"
