I don't know who wrote it but there is one on there that is not gender specific until you get to the end and it turns out that Shep is a guy...it was a pretty good fic...you really couldn't see the gender reveal coming.

I read that one. It was really danged good.

IRL no problem, my sister has been with her female partner for over 20 years now although it took some other family members awhile to accept it.  But I guess I'm viewing the ME characters from one particular perspective so I tend to stay away from stories that don’t’ fit in with my view of the ME universe.

I can understand that...I think that's the main reason I had my Femshep stay away from Jacob...Femshep's conversations with him didn't fit my particular perspective of who I had role played her to be. And it was probably one of the reasons I had such a hard time getting into this game...because I couldn't see Shep working for Cerberus.

my thoughts exactly Michelle.  I have a very exact picture in my mind of who my shep is & how (& why) she acts.  ME2 didn't come close for most of the time

THAT IS EXACTLY WHY I STAYED AWAY FROM JACOB!  With the exception of the on poster who wanted femShep to be a barbie doll, I'd say most of us, whether paragon or renegade, would expect Shep to act better than that.  

"Hmmm...I just came out of a coma, found out everyone I care about is gone, have been thrust in with the strange and untrustworthy bedfellows of Cerberus, and have been told, that once again, the universe is ending and apparently I am the ONLY one who can stop it.  What do I want to do first?  Oh hit on Jacob definantly."

They should have used 2 different voice recordings for the "I want to know about you" from Shep to Jacob, one for people that didn't have a ME1 releationship and one that did.   My Shep wasn't interested in a relationship with anyone on the new Normandy.

IA by the way, Shenko forever! I read the m/m Shenko fic and thought the reveal was very clever (I love stuff like that), but in my world, Shep is a woman and Kaidan is her sexy lover; same reason I don't read Shep paired with other LIs. I would love to read some good Tali/Kal'Reegar fic, though...

Okay, so I decided I was jealous of everyone getting to make screen shots and videos and went and ordered ME1 for PC. Plus, hubby has decided that the XBOX I BOUGHT is a Fallout 3 machine now.



As I clicked along I saw someone was trying to sell one for over 200 bucks on amazon. I was like, seriously? It better come with a collectors edition, real live, Kaidan Alenko....then I'd pay more.
