I'm an extremely dissatisfied ME1 LI fan.

I want more with all romances. ME1 and ME2, and I will not be happy if either gets shorted.

Pretty sure you'll be satisfied in ME3. Kaidan/Ashley are both going to have large roles, according to the developers. While ME1 romances did get cameos in ME2, ME2 romances had only one game to speak of as well. So we don't have much precedence and history to go by, as this is the first time Bioware has carried romances between imports AFAIK. But we do have the developer's words.

Are they just going to do the same thing they did in ME2 and give them the same lines? If they do, it'll be insulting.

I don't think so. The meeting on Horizon was primarily to give justification for Kaidan/Ashley not to join Shepard and therefore survive into ME3. Rather minor in the scope of ME2's storyline. But as Kaidan, Ash, and Liara have large roles in ME3 it wouldn't make a lick of sense to make the dialogue the same.

QFT. If they gave Kaidan and Ash such different dialogue in ME1, a game in which they played important roles, I'd be very surprised if BW didn't do the same for the third and final game.
