Yay, finished my game on Insanity :) Sentinels cut through enemies like warm knife through the butter. Really, I thought it will be much more harder and irritating. But still, it was intense.

Nice Posted Image  I decided to be a masochist and play Insanity as a Vanguard instead of Sentinel, which is my favorite ME2 class.  My canon Shepard is an Adept-turned-Sentinel.  On my insanity Vanguard playthrough I'm about to start the suicide mission.

I haven't gone to insanity yet (in game anyway).  My main Shep is an adept but I have a back up who is a sentinel and I must say I feel invincible as a sentinel.  couldn't even finish my Vanguard playthrough though not sure if it was because I disliked vanguard or just got bored after a few playthroughs or maybe a little of both.

They seriously nerfed the vanguard.   It was my favorite class in ME1, but they've cut your biotic powers in half and made you recharge all of them if you use one, and let's face it. Charge and Pull just can't compare with LIft, Throw, and Barrier.  I used to be like, "Oh no, dozens of thorian creepers are chasing me. THROW!  Mwuahahahaha...enjoy toppling down stairs you stupid plants."

Yeah, I played up to right before Horizon and I haven't touched it yet.

There's a voice that says, "Do you really want to go through that again?" and the reply is, "I'm not sure".

So the xbox stays off.

I think my sleep machine needs to be calibrated because I've been feeling like I've not been getting much sleep lately, and I get 6 or more hours, which is what I should be getting. I don't like the sleepy haze.

*hugs* Oh well... just means more Kaidan drooling!

They did nerf Vanguard, but I still loved it more than the other classes so far. Absolutely loathed Adept in ME2.

I just made a Sentinel maleShep for a ME1 playthrough. Will see how that one goes when I get around to ME2.

I wasn't overjoyed with adept, especially after I played as a sentinel in my 2nd playthrough.  Sentinel is pretty much my fave - its got everything

Vanguard was my favorite ME1 class as well followed closely by the Infiltrator.  I really got a kick of taking out enemies from a distance.  Agree on Vanguard in ME2 - bleah.  I like playing a sentinel particularly when I've got enough experience to add an extra power like Slam.  I love Slam! That enticed me back.

Say, anyone else having trouble makin themselves replay ME2?  I don't know.  I find myself going back to the first one for more reasons than Kaidan.  I don't really get it.  The second one has great graphics, better combat mechanics, and a sweet soundtrack and all, but I keep finding myself drawn to the first one and not just for Kaidan.  Maybr it was because I had no expectations when I popped the first one in.  I had just came home from being away for awhile and my husband had to basically strong arm into buying it.  Boy was I pleasantly suprised.

Yeah, I'm having some trouble getting through my second play through.  For me the biggest problem is that I don't feel the sense of urgency that I did before.  Even when I know that I've got all week to do side misions in ME1, I still get the feeling that I'm mucking about and need to hurry to stop Saren.  With ME2, I feel more like, "Get a team mate here, do a side quest there, loyalty mission here, chat with crew there."  The only time there is any rush at all is when I need to get my crew back, and even then I've got people telling me, "Don't go.  They knew they might get killed.  Kick back and finish shopping first." <_<  Over all, ME2 is a "better" game.  But ME1 has by far the better story.

Heh, well, I doubt I could have done that - I only got a C at GCSE English - with is an 'ok' mark. And I had to work my ass off to get that one. Always hated English classes.

I want to play through and kill everyone including Shepard, off, but I'm just not feeling it either. I have a feeling that once ME3 comes out, I'll want to play through both ME2 and ME3 over in tandem. Maybe I'm just an optimist. :)

With the way teachers are treated here in the US (at least in my area) and with what little they make, I gave up on the whole teaching thing. I always wanted to be one actually, but why would I want to join a profession where the administration refuses to back the teachers and the parents refuse to believe that their children can do no wrong?

surprisingly enough English was my best subject at school (& history).  Unfortunately my brain has melted through lack of use & raising 2 boys, although I do get called on to help them with their essays which I find quite funny because they are both extremely bright & a lot brighter than I was at their age.  For me school was way back in 1983.( if you count the 2 years at teachers college before I dropped out).

I guess it goes back to how Bioware gauges its market.  There's lots of games manufacturers in the SF/SJ Bay Area and our newpapers seem to have lots of articles on how women in particular focus on games with good stories and how manufacturers keep ignoring a major market segment.   *steps off soapbox*  Yeah- I like the ME2 mechanics but I'm sooo missing the teammate connections and sense that one is really doing something really big. I think what gets to me at times is that there are all these little connections -- occasional emails from the Alliance and others from the past but no way to connect to them, talk with them, figure out if it makes sense to include them in the mission (yes, yes, I know. Cerberus=bad guy and thus suspicious).  Oh well...I'm clearly starting to ramble.... better stop!

Hmmm...I didn't try that with my Vanguard.  Maybe I should do a little replay and do a "retrain powers" to add and try it out!  The vanguard just felt so much less powerful than in ME 1.

Well, I always did much better at Maths and Science myself, and its not really surprising I ended up an Engineer ;) But I think I need to be tested for low grade dyslexica, because in my final year of uni, my tutor told me I had a few telltale signs that suggested I had it, so that might have been why I did badly at English.

I liked it because it would cut through Armor and Barriers so it made it super useful when other biotics weren't. Plus you could get a health charge from it... if you actually charged at the wrong time/place. Posted Image
