Heh, well, I doubt I could have done that - I only got a C at GCSE English - with is an 'ok' mark. And I had to work my ass off to get that one. Always hated English classes.

Yeah, I don't think I would make a good upper-level English teacher.  Literary analysis is not my strong suit.  But in reading and reviewing fics lately I've discovered my inner grammar police.  Posted Image

Vanguard was my favorite ME1 class as well followed closely by the Infiltrator.  I really got a kick of taking out enemies from a distance.  Agree on Vanguard in ME2 - bleah.  I like playing a sentinel particularly when I've got enough experience to add an extra power like Slam.  I love Slam! Posted ImagePosted Image

I love Reave. That was always nice with Vanguard.

Hmmm...I didn't try that with my Vanguard.  Maybe I should do a little replay and do a "retrain powers" to add and try it out!  The vanguard just felt so much less powerful than in ME 1.

I liked it because it would cut through Armor and Barriers so it made it super useful when other biotics weren't. Plus you could get a health charge from it... if you actually charged at the wrong time/place. Posted Image

Ok, you've convinced me!  I'm definitely going to reload my Vanguard Shep and try it out!

That's one thing I don't get.

Why in the heck do most biotics not work against armor/shields?

The very concept of biotics should make it able to damage almost anything at any time.

A long long time ago (no, not in a galaxy far far away), someone talked about how to upload avatars from DA Character Creator. Now that I've stolen my husband's PC version of ME2 I'd like to upload one of my Shep avatars. Would someone please PM me and tell me how to go about it? Many thanks in advance!

Yeah, it made no sense. Oh look, they have armor... can't use any of my biotics. Oh look, shields! *sigh* No biotics here either.

It's probably why I loathed Adept.

Oh yeah. And the old pistols.

Equip both weapons with two Frictionless Materials X and they never overheat. Ever. <3

For some reason I've lways favored the Soldier in ME . But then, I often go for that type of class in most games.. spent my whole WoW career as a warrior tank. Funny, only in Dragon Age that I prefer to take a rogue class...

I think this is why I keep replaying ME1 before any ME2 replay. I get to enjoy the awesomeness of it before trudging through ME2. :)

@Star: Sent you the info via PM.

Took me too long to catch up to y'all today!

I, too, was disappointed with the Vanguard class and the nerfing of Barrier.

Then, I got Reave in my second playthrough. All better now.

Who still needed a review of fanfic?

Resume: English degree in Creative Writing and former elementary school teacher. Currently, I edit my boss's documents because landmen have creative grammar. I also spend all spare moments writing my own stuff. ;)

For some reason in ME1 what I liked most was the Assault Rifle and the Sniper Rifle.  After my first game I could add an additional weapon to my vanguard and almost always added one of those two.  The sniper rife was awesome; I loved sitting up high and picking off enemies with one shot...even Krogan Warlords fell before me.  Posted ImagePosted Image

@ Sapphy:  Got it.  Thanks!

Hmm. Well, Sunday tends to be napday in my household... maybe others are napping as well?

Good! Tired, not looking forward to going to work tomorrow. BUT will be posting my fic soon, so that always puts me in a good mood. :) The only thing is that I'm going to start needing suggestions for NEW fics.

Probably - I did try and nap myself, but I'm bad at sleeping in the day.

Hmm, may adjust the wallpaper but not sure yet...think I prefer non-biotic shirtless Kaidan ;)

Agree with you on this one Jho...you can't even tell the non-biotic one is shopped at all. Never the less the biotic one is a good pic...liked the other one where you shopped Kaidan in at the beginning of ME1 as well. Keep em' coming.

I'm with you there, Doug.

At the moment husband is trying to drag me away from the computer to go do something active while we actually have sunshine (lots of rain for the past couple of weeks).
