There certainly are plenty of Shep / Joker fanfics out there, never read any of them myself. You would think Shep would break him.

Hmm... I took Joker saying he practically broke his thumb on the mute button to be an expression, typical Joker sarcasm. As the disease is worst in his legs, I figured that he just did really slow, physical-therapy oriented upper body training. If the bones have proper support and are working at an appropriate weight level (i.e. not too heavy), I think he could train a little bit..... ?
