Seen that one before awhile ago, but tis a good song. And very true,. Girl Gamers are surprisingly hard to find in RL.... That said, my village seems so backwards I'm pretty sure most of the locals think electricity is demon magic.
Can't be that hard to find. You're in an entire forum of supposedly lady gamers!
Yes... in Canada, America, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Though at least one of y'all are from the UK, heh. Though not my part of the country.

Shep: You can breach my protocol.

Would I be biting my lip over that? No, it has to do with Boy I Like. One of the first things he ever said to me when we met last spring and we found out we share a love of video games was, "Wow, a legendary creature!" I asked him what he meant. "An actual female gamer," he explained.

Not that I'd rule out anyone from the UK, just that it'd have to be a weekend thing considering the distance. And thats making the HUGE assumption they would like me in person, heh.

Though trust me, there are plenty of guy gamers out there, just that the one's of my age (25 and above) got so used to being outcasts for that hobby we generally try and hide it. Hell, I didn't even know girl gamers existed until the last few years. Much better times.

Yeah... I grew up in Brasil and am now living in the US, so Scotland seems a bit random, but what can I say? I fell in love with it.
I'm in the process of becoming a girl gamer.... er... I mean.... I'm already a girl... but I'm in the process of becoming more of a gamer. So far I've got Bioshock (1), ME 1 & 2, Oblivion, Neverwinter Nights, Fable... I actually haven't really gotten into Fable yet, and NWN annoys me because I don't really like turn-based games. What are other games that I should invest in, to round-out my gaming knowledge?

Force Unleashed was good, as was pretty much the entire Halo Series. I know people complained about ODST being short but it was really well done IMO. Music, mood, story, characters, all perfect.Brijenieve wrote...

Pack warm clothes and wet weather gear is my advice
As for games... not sure. I didn't really like BioShock myself, the rest I played and enjoyed. You looking for RPGs mainly or you wanna try other genre's? Erm, Gaming genres.

Being a girl gamer is fun.
I play all sorts of games. Ever since I toned back WoW, I've had time to play other games, so I'm trying out Heavy Rain on the PS3. Though the biggest compliment I think I have ever gotten from a guy online was from my co-tank in WoW. He had habitually found girls in WoW to be subpar players from experience. He thought of me as one of the guys because I didn't suck like the other girls.
Honestly, as for games, it depends on what interests you. Do you enjoy First Person Shooters? Real Time Strategies? Do you only have the PC or do you have any consoles? Do you prefer Scifi to Fantasy?

You should definitely try Oblivion's predecessor Morrowind if you can stomach the graphics(lots of mods to update them though). I also would recommend trying sandbox games like Mercenaries, Assassin's Creed, or even *gasp* GTA(personally I hate the series but some like it). Finally, you should try some strategy games like Civilization or Age of Empires.

In my EQ days the female gamer was more of a rare spawn than now.
My husband got me started on video games in college, he introducted me to the orginal monkey island.
