Pack warm clothes and wet weather gear is my advice
And ignore the knit's, those are just for the tourists, Scots don't actually wear them.
As for games... not sure. I didn't really like BioShock myself, the rest I played and enjoyed. You looking for RPGs mainly or you wanna try other genre's? Erm, Gaming genres.
If there's anything that annoys me, it's an obvious tourist. It's not that I hate people who are on holiday and enjoying themselves, that's fine. It's the people who drink in the tourist-trap mentality - who, say, go to Scotland and immediately buy ten kilts and scarves and hats with mix-matched tartans and spend their time trying to get Scots to say things so that they can hear the accent, haha. Then they go home and imagine they actually got to experience a little bit of the country. Bleah. I'm more of a visit-the-small-town type - it's harder to find, but it's less gimmicky and you can actually learn something about the people.

As for games.... I prefer RPGs. I go in phases, preferring sci fi over fantasy, and back again. I don't really like call of duty type real-world style war games. At the moment all I have is my PC, but I'm looking at getting a console soon as well (recommendations?). I've heard Heavy Rain is amazing; DOA looks interesting but I'm discouraged at the talk of a bad ending there; KotOR looks legend, but I just haven't gotten around to getting it yet. What else?
