and WHAT is monkey island?? haha
It's a secret...The Secret of Monkey Island!
*winks to MI players*
Hahaha aaahhhh now I'm going to HAVE to get it....
So here's my list from what you guys have said -
force unleashead
halo (any particular one? or just start from the beginning?)
assassins creed
jade empire (?)
vampire masquerade bloodlines
republic commando
morrowind
mercenaries
monkey island
diablo 1 & 2
god of war (for ps3)
Good start? It'll take me a good long time to go through those - any particular priority order? haha. I just don't want to be the "omg you're a gamer but you've never played _______?!!!!" girl.

some of my personal favourites other than ME & DAO :chem light wrote...
Force Unleashed was good, as was pretty much the entire Halo Series. I know people complained about ODST being short but it was really well done IMO. Music, mood, story, characters, all perfect.Brijenieve wrote...

I'm moving to Scotland in a few years
..... I hope
Indeedie? My dad's a scot, heh. However, Scotland is about... 5-6 hours by car away from here, heh. If you avoid the worse of the traffic.
Not that I'd rule out anyone from the UK, just that it'd have to be a weekend thing considering the distance. And thats making the HUGE assumption they would like me in person, heh.
Yeah... I grew up in Brasil and am now living in the US, so Scotland seems a bit random, but what can I say? I fell in love with it.
I'm in the process of becoming a girl gamer.... er... I mean.... I'm already a girl... but I'm in the process of becoming more of a gamer. So far I've got Bioshock (1), ME 1 & 2, Oblivion, Neverwinter Nights, Fable... I actually haven't really gotten into Fable yet, and NWN annoys me because I don't really like turn-based games. What are other games that I should invest in, to round-out my gaming knowledge?
And of course, plenty of things to explode!
Assassins creed
Jade Empire
Vampire Masquerade bloodlines
Republic commando - if only for Scorch voiced by Sbarge, lol

Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines is one I tried to get my hands on once...thing costs like rips even on Ebay(or it did at the time)...I guess it's because it's so popular and the company folded. I just couldn't see myself paying 70 bucks for a used game.

Dragon*Con is an interesting experience. Boyfriend already has a room and his ticket.
I'd also recommend for console gaming investing in a good rental place. That way you can rent a game and if it turns out quickly to not be something you're interested in, you can take it back nad it only cost you a few bucks.

Hehe, I've been to Dragon*Con several times, the last time I brought my eight month old son and dressed him as baby Hulk for a day.

Haha, awesome! I'm still trying to lose weight so I can consider making a costume. I'm too self conscious to dress up currently. And honestly, that's half the fun... seeing the costumes.

I've dressed up, but nothing really cool. I had a friend who did the Dawn contest, which I *wish* I had the guts and costuming skills to do.

@ Michelle, I don't know, but I can tell when it's a chick or dude that's writing. It's one of those intangibles the machines will never grasp...Sorry, I've been on a HUGE I, Robot kick since I was listening to it again during my commutes. Alas, that one's over too and I have to find another. Great narrator on this one too and that makes all the difference.

Shenzi, the pic always makes me go weak in the knees. I hope I have THAT exact dream tonight.
Jo, I promise you that one day it will all work out. Whether that's because he comes to his senses, you find someone new, I shoot the girl with a paintball gun that has an automatic hopper that fires paintballs at relativistic speeds....
It's all going to work out. For right now, concentrate on school, maybe try a new hobby, working on becoming the person you want to be... and if all else fails, we'll have a big Kaidan get together at Gen Con, or Comic Con, or Dragon Con, or something, take you out, and help find you your REAL Kaidan Alenko.
Yeah, I know I suck at this whole consoling thing, but I hope it made you feel better?
Goodnight girls. Sweet dreams of Kaidan, or in Doug's case, Ash.

Here it is on Direct2Drive for $20: http://www.direct2dr...dlines-Download
I LOVE Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, but definitely get the fan made patch if you play, it's really, really buggy even with the official patch. It says a lot about the fans of this game that they're still trying to make it better after all these years, though.

I was lucky I managed to get it on ebay used for about $Aus20, so it didn't take too much out of the budget. New game prices are ridiculous here, though. DAO & ME2 CE.s both cost me over $100 each.
