Haha - ironically, reading all the responses, if they ever defined a girl gamer stereotype, it sounds like most of us would fit in it! Swear like troopers, live in jeans, no time for make-up, find shopping to be slow torture...
I do wish I was more likely to deck someone who upsets me than cry though. I so badly want to shout at people when they upset me, but I always end up in tears, and always feel like the worst kind of manipulating female when I do it. Meh.
So much lovely fanfic and pictures to catch up on today. Pictures with TOWELS!
Aw bless, I have no idea why but I have a reputation for being quite scary, it's amusing really I can make my male collegues flinch just by making a sudden move and I've never been even remotely violent towards anyone! Ha!
Funnier still when you consider I'm only 5ft 2!
I do cry, not very often but it does happen, I just tend to get angry and if I'm gonna cry I'll run off somewhere private, I think it's because me and my brother used to fight a lot and if I cried he acted like he won, so I'd punch him instead

Usually, I don't have too many issues at the game stores around here. Probably because I go by so often.
However, I also usually don't go game shopping with the boyfriend. He was with me when I went out to buy my 360, and it was horrible. I had to go to a store that was way out of the way, because it was the only one that had the game I wanted to pick up with it. The clerks literally refused to talk to me. They kept asking him what he was gonna use it for, and what games he was going to pick up.
He finally looks at them and says, "You know, if you keep this up, the person who's actually buying the 360 Elite and 10 games is going to get pissed and buy it elsewhere?" "Huh?" "She's not buying this stuff for me, dumb***!"
LOL, that part I enjoyed. Then, said idiot spent almost an hour trying to talk me out of everything. The system, the games, all of it. So I ended up buying it closer to home. The male bought me the game I'd been there to get later.

This happened to me when I bought my new x-box (ex got the old one when we divorced

) the guy insisted I should buy a PS3 I was like
I want an x-box. Kept talking about how much better it was blah, blah, blah and no matter how many times I told him what I wanted, he was convinced I knew nothing, went to another shop and from the outset said, I want a replacement x-box for me, the dude was more helpful but kept offering to chip an x-box for me and that he could get me all the games I wanted, couldn't tell if he was being helpful or hitting on me it was very weird!
