Hmm, noticed two new screenies on the site...guess we're getting yet another gun? Blegh, gimme Kaidan!

One thing noticed, on one of the screens there's a new armor (agaaain...) without the helmet. Still nothing I can enjoy in my after-suicide-mission save. I even dont use any HW except Blackstorm (damn, I love this commertial).

That wasn't the news they were giving today was it...that we're getting new guns?

Dunno, I should venture to the non-spoiler forum more often. That new gun was posted earlier. Hoorah for guns? I do wish they would give us content DLCs....(like Kaidan mail) ...instead of new shiny things. ;)

However, I also usually don't go game shopping with the boyfriend.  He was with me when I went out to buy my 360, and it was horrible.  I had to go to a store that was way out of the way, because it was the only one that had the game I wanted to pick up with it.  The clerks literally refused to talk to me.  They kept asking him what he was gonna use it for, and what games he was going to pick up.

He finally looks at them and says, "You know, if you keep this up, the person who's actually buying the 360 Elite and 10 games is going to get pissed and buy it elsewhere?"  "Huh?"  "She's not buying this stuff for me, dumb***!"

LOL, that part I enjoyed.  Then, said idiot spent almost an hour trying to talk me out of everything.  The system, the games, all of it.  So I ended up buying it closer to home.  The male bought me the game I'd been there to get later.

Should have just said "So, you insult me, act like I'm a 4 year old, and am trying to talk me out of my purchase? Well, you've succeeded, I'm taking my custom elsewhere."

I dunno, maybe its just cus I'm a bloke, but over here, shop clerks aren't so uppity about questioning the customer...

Aw bless, I have no idea why but I have a reputation for being quite scary, it's amusing really I can make my male collegues flinch just by making a sudden move and I've never been even remotely violent towards anyone!  Ha!

Funnier still when you consider I'm only 5ft 2!

I do cry, not very often but it does happen, I just tend to get angry and if I'm gonna cry I'll run off somewhere private, I think it's because me and my brother used to fight a lot and if I cried he acted like he won, so I'd punch him instead Posted Image

I don't bother with GameStop anymore when it comes to buying games; if I don't have to put up with snotty employees, I won't. I've been gaming for at least twenty years (yikes, I don't like thinking about that...), I build and maintain my own PCs, and I have a mind of my own. I don't appreciate it when some high school kid at the mall talks down to me or ignores me when I'm in a game store.

Same with buying PC components; ugh, I'll just get what I want from NewEgg rather than deal with the condescending douches at BestBuy.

Oh, I can make my work colleagues flinch! They're terrified of the pair of rubber ducks I keep on my desk! Posted Image

There used to be a music technician here at college who spent a fair amount of time hiding from the students in our IT office. We had quite a friendly-flirty type relationship going on, and if he irritated me I used to chuck one of the ducks at him. Now he's left, the two lads in here still quake if I make the duck squeak, because they think I'm going to chuck it at one of them instead...

Edit: Oooh, yay, time to go home! Except I think I have to go to Sainsbury's first, gah.

To be fair to GameStop employees, being keep in a kennel and horse whipped every time a customer leaves the store without spending money probably doesn't encourage good manners or politeness.

Sush! They must not know of our ways, for if they do, they will only be able to control us more!
I've been rather accepting of games who happen to be female, it makes no difference in skill! Although, as of yet, havent been beaten by one yet. That means nothing. I just havent MET a gamer who happens to be a woman who could beat me.

I haven’t' been in a Gamestop in ages, I tend to order my games from Amazon.   They deliver games on the day they are released.

We've been building our PCs from parts via Newegg for years.   We were happy to see Compusa go under, talk about a poorly run business, it would take forever to checkout there.

Steam is an awesome alternative for PC Gaming on a budget. They are constantly doing specials/discounts on games.

Tight Budgets are really more suited to Direct Downloads, i use Steam myself for the majority of my shopping and it works out fantastic, have hardly ever paid full price, mostly 10-20 bucks on really good games.

Ah, neither are really my cup of tea (though I do own CoD:MW2 to play with my boyfriend). I used to enjoy rolling guys on my PvP server in WoW. That was fun. Especially when I would talk in vent.

Speaking of the boyfriend and getting more on topic, the boyfriend is on to Mass Effect 2 now. He totally was stealth romanced into Ashley's romance plot (which I laughed at him since he keeps going to where Kaidan should be and pointing out who is missing). I was so proud of him though. When he was playing ME1 as a Soldier, I kept seeing him never using any of his special abilities and having problems. I kept trying to get him to use them, but he didn't. Last night though, in ME2, I saw him actually abilities. Like he learned something. Hahaha.
