I say no new LIs for ME3 and I think they overall should be really careful with introducing new characters otherwise Shepard will soon have an entire school class running around with her.

One thing that would be kind of cool:
Being able to start a relationship with one of the ME1 LIs if you didnt have one with them in ME1. I mean, how awesome would that be?

I have a feeling that this will be possible, just based on how angsty Kaidan is even with buddy-Shep.  "Losing you was like losing a limb"...who says this to a commanding officer, even if they're best friends?

My male Shep (who I call "Cade Shepard: Space Pimp") moved on after Liara blew him off on Illium.  He banged Kelly's brains out.  Then he hooked up with Miranda.  Then he dumped her (Cerberus ****) and wound up with Tali after the suicide mission.  She's a bit of a geek, and sweet.  Not unlike most of the gals in here.  

I like Tali as well as Ashley.

But the problem with Tali fans is...well, in general, they are bat **** insane! And this is coming from me, so you know how mad they are!

Three's nothing wrong with Tali but there has been some speculation that the ME2 LIs won't be continued into ME3 because of all the possible combinations that would have to be dealt with and Tali seems to be the most popular of the ME2 romance options.

edit - It comes down to how BW views ME2 LIs, are they just a fling or actual romance.

Could work for Liara. In ME2 I always got the feeling that she never got over her love for Shepard, even if she was rejected in ME1. At least that's how I explain that she never told Kaidan/Ashley about Cerberus bringing Shepard back.

I think they wrote her romance really well, and even her friendship lines made me go "D'AWW!!!"

It's just that her fans attract a certain..."fringe" element...we won't talk of that here, though.

You know, I really want to play a maleShep just so I can do this too, but I really really hate the way Sheploo looks and trying to make an attractive male face is a hideous exercise in frustration.

It really is that unusual here, if I go into a game shop on my own, I get pounced on, I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted, I remeber having a conversation once about RPG's and asking him if there was anything worth playing out, he kept listing them like I'd never heard of them and I was like, yeah played that, played that too, completed that when it first came out in 1990, by the end of it, I was going through games he hadn't played and if I'm honest feeling quite smug about it!

And I hated it when I went to pick-up my  buy CoD:MW2 pre-oder,

Game dude:  a treat for your boyfriend?

Me: *scowl*  no it's for me

Dude:  *shocked look* Oh have you played CoD before?

Me:  Yes, all of them!

Dude:  I don't know many girls who play proper games.

Me:  Yeah well, I do, so can I have my game please?

It can be pretty frustrating to shop for video games but at least I usually find at least one girl working at my  local games stores so they tend to be a bit easier to deal with.  I live in gamer country though,  surrounded by Microsoft, Nintendo and many others so we seem to have a pretty good community of girl gamers.

What really drives me nuts is when a guy knows I play and still feels the need to explain what an NPC, DPS or AOE, etc  are. Dude! I know!! 

*grins*  When I bought ME1, the sales person looked at me, made the assumption that I *must* be purchasing the game for someone else (most likely younger and male) and said, "I just want to point out that this game is rated 'M" for mature." 

Me:  *sweet sweet smile and sugary tone*  I think I'm old enough to play!

Salesperson:  *backpedals frantically*  That's so cool!  My Mom plays too.

urgh. 

I didn't want to bring up the age thing but it's a double whammy being over 40 and female. Every time I go into Gamestop I feel out of place. 

It does feel like a double whammy at times.  And what I notice is that the young female clerks often are more taken aback by an over-40 gamer than the males.    Oh well.  I guess I'm just creating diversity!

Actually I've never talked to a female clerk in Gamestop...there are two in our area(I live in the country and have to drive 30 minutes to an hour to reach one) and it's always been males.
