Sad bunny.

They're saving all the Kaidan good stuff for ME3.
At least, they better be. Or I will cut them.

Yes.  If Kaidan doesn't get justice in ME3 it'll be Chelsea disapproves (-100)

Yes, this would require something more drastic than a sad bunny.

Lesson of the day for all of my friends:

If you're trying to mix 3 bags of gerbil food into a 5 gallon ziploc bag, turning the sealed bag end on end is NOT a good way to mix it.

I am going to now shower the grain dust off of myself and get some clean clothes.

Then I wonder why they felt the need to put that there since it's kinda obvious that no one else would be residing in Shepards quarters...I wonder if it could have been a hint that in ME3 you can move someone in with you...it would be progressing the relationship if you were technically living together...and if Kaidan eventually wound up there it would allow for some really great intimate cutscenes since it's a private area. I think I kind of like the idea of going to talk to him in Shep's quarters.

Maybe that's always been their intention, I'm waiting for Bioware to pull something amazing, look at DA it wasn't perfect but it was a hell of a lot better than past romances like Anomen where you slept together and then he like never mentioned it again, a bit too life like if you ask me Posted Image

If they manage some sort of ME1/DA hybrid as far as romances go I will be a very happy bunny, If he's a squad mate, well I'll even put on bunny ears and dance naked round a life size Kaidan cut-out.

 Just a cut out, huh. You don't want something a little more substantial.

But seriously from what I've heard the leveling system was set up in such a way that you could only go to 30 in ME2 and go from there to 60 in ME3...I'm not explaining it too well I'm afraid. But it sounded like the entire thing was set up in such a way that all they had to do was work on the story and characters and such so perhaps the 'none' was put there to as a hint  as to what was to come...or my wishful thinking. Then again they have been saying they had it planned out so I'm hoping. Yes, I'm rambling again.

Got a question for those that romanced one of the other LI's. The elevator tells you who is on each floor. The captain's quarters lists 'none'. If you romance someone does the LI become listed there? I just wondered if maybe they did that since they listed the "none" there.

No.  At least, not that I saw.

Posted Image That reminds me of a joke I made with my friend about when Aria says that Omega's only rule is don't f--- with Aria and one of the possible responses is paraphrased as "I have similar rules."  So I imagined a crew orientation at the Normandy going something like this:

Okay, men, welcome to the Normandy.  Now, there are a few simple rules I'm going to ask you to follow for the good of everyone.  The first, second, and third are don't f--- with Shepard... unless your name is Kaidan Alenko.

Bioware has shown that they have the ability to create amazing characters and have them interact with us in ways that touch our hearts and souls, to suddenly well...skimp on that just doesn't seem like them...Yes I'm thinking about Kaidan/Ash/Liara, but I'm also thinking about the new characters like Thane, Miranda, Jacob, Kelly, Legion, Mordin, etc...even the ones that aren't romanceable (which is a small minority and sometimes makes me think Shep should wear a t-shirt that says "I'm commander Shepard and I'll hump anything with a pulse...")...I really enjoyed some of the newer characters and would have welcomed the opportunity to get to know them a little better....but I'm not willing to jump into bed with them to get to that stage and I don't believe that I should have to.

The way you get cut off if you don't romance them is like Bioware saying that the only kind of relationships Shep can have now are romantic ones. They went overboard with it in my opinion. And yeah I agree with the T-shirt thing. I think she could possibly get a second one that reads "I'm a s-l-u-t" in reference to Jacob. The whole idea of building relationships was reduced to sex at least that was how it felt to me.

And I felt like they were forced on my Femshep as well....I didn't even talk to Thane on one of my playthroughs and when he died he called my Femshep beautiful...I just thought it was inappropriate...I hadn't encouraged him at all...simply gave the paragon option when he first came on the ship. The paragon option isn't supposed to mean I'm interested but in that case it evidently did even though I didn't talk to him again. From then on I only gave the neutral option to the Femshep LI's. I really didn't feel free to play it the way I wanted to.

Great, thanks, now I'm picturing Shepard wearing one of these shirts: Posted Image

Which is an inside Seattle joke about the "South Lake Union Trolley" or "S.L.U.T."

Ow I won't be able to see Shepard talking to Jacob without thinking of that shirt.

Okay the slogan on that shirt would be even a better fit.

Oh that would be A-awesome! Continuity and flow would be lovely from ME2 to 3, and yes have our LI's move in. ;)

Horizon wouldn't have seemed so bad to me if Shep at least had a chance to talk to Kaidan via comm or even in Anderson's office, or at least reply to his damn email. She has plenty of time on her hands in between missions if she chooses not to to run around the ship whoring up to other characters.

As for Conrad Verner, he was an annoyance in ME, so what possessed them to give him a mission (& more time that Kaidan) in ME2 - kinda makes me wish I had gone the renegade option with him in the original.

"Conrad, why are you acting like me?"

Yeah, I was like WTF?  Should have been mean so he got all pissy and killed by Turians.

And thanks Fort for explaining the reference. I think people were starting to question my sanity...more sure than usual.

He was just another example to me of how they went out of their way to include all the minor characters and minor decisions and skipped over the major characters and decisions. My hope now is that maybe they got all the smaller stuff out of the way and will now bring back the results of the major decisions we made in ME.

What I mean by that is that maybe people like Conrad won't even appear in ME3 and that the decisions that we made like whether or not to save the council and who we saved on Virmire will have much greater significance this time around.
