Yeah I thought that was both a nice touch, and twisting the knife around a bit... 

For some reason, I found that line amusing to hear; I always got it before Horizon, which made it less salt in the wounds and more "I would have but the bugger's off hiding from me."

That said, I always seemed to picture the response coming in a hushed but similar tone to the Illusive Man prodding the issue; I actually don't know what the other responses to him are like in that regard because going "None of your damned business." back at him always seemed the most suitable.

You know... Anderson screwed with both Shepard and Kaidan in regards to Horizon. If you talk to him after Horizon, you can get kinda pissy with him for not telling you what was going on w Kaidan.



After that conversation, I think Ash/Kaidan are personal Alliance agents for Anderson. He's probably sending them out to look for proof of the reapers so he can show it to the rest of the Council.

OR, they could have meant to have it be whomever your ME1 LI was, and the devs were trying to imply that Anderson is a smooth mofo who moved in on your territory when you died...

If Jacob had TOLD Shepard about his dirtbag dad, instead of having a quest to SHOW it, I suspect more guys would have reacted the same way they did towards Kaidan.  Even though there are still plenty of people calling Jacob boring and bland, he doesn't seem to have as many people hating on him just for his dialogue.

Do you have a save right before you activate the beacon on Eden Prime?  I think the biotic conversation is after you wake up, and Kaidan is standing in a different spot than usual.  You need to choose the investigate options, I believe...

I'm surprised none of the Sheploo fanboys haven't come here to imply that Kaidan's picture is always there, because it's totally canon that Kaidan died and that only Sheploo exists (apparently ignoring the fact that FemSheps can get Kaidan killed), because they're insecure and feel the need to stomp all over the existance of FemShep, and custom ManShep for that matter.

And yes I have heard this exact argument elsewhere.
