I forgot I was following Kaidan on twitter, but he just posted. I have no idea who is RPing him. @Kaidan_Alenko
What does he have to say about Horizon, lol.

I come bearing gifts. First one:
Kaidan being... uh biotic? >.> WOO GO TITLES!
and my current favorite because its been in my head FOREVER and it comes with a quick snippet! WOOOOO:
An Officers party.
Athena Shepard eyed the dance floor with much envy. She wanted to dance. Either the men were too in awe of the warhero or she had acquired a new head on her shoulder.
This would not do.
She hardly ever had the chance to dress like a lady. The least the men, or women, could do was atleast offer to get her a drink.
Seemed she would have to be the one to take initiative, as if that were new.
Her eyes methodically scanned the men amongst the throng of fellow officers, either drinking or taking part in idle banter, lined up against the wall. Her eyes spotted a lone wallflower. His arms crossed his chest, he looked bored but goodness was he handsome. Dark haired, tanned, brown eyes, and lips she'd love to see smile just once this night. Her target was in sight.
As she glided across the floor, all silk and sweetly perfumed, a charming smile graced her dark red lips as she greeted tall, dark, and handsome.
"Want to dance?"
He seemed in a daze, something Shepard took as quite the compliment. Who knew she could fill in a dress so nicely?
"With me? Not your date?"
She arched an eyebrow, "I'm asking, handsome." A tantric rhythm full of seduction and heat began to fill the air. "Now get over here and show me just how you can please a woman's simple request."
She knew it was a gamble to push hard. How pleased she was by grin the man before her graced her with.
"Yes m'aam. I hope you know how to tango."
"I hope you know how to keep up."

Hope y'all like them!

Here's something that's come up during my playthrough:
Why does Shepard have to fix everyone? There's nobody that's there for her. No one. She's completely alone.

Shepard is a bad ass. One of the absolute strongest people in the galaxy, both martially and emotionally.
Besides, you can always open up to your LI behind the scenes, but Shepard knows the repears are the priority and he/she can't show weakness untill they're done with.
Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you!lady winde wrote...

But being a badass doesn't mean you're without problems.
Also, Kaidan is my Shepard's LI. There is no opening up. And there's nobody she can whine to about him being gone.

But thats what I mean, Shepard is above and beyond everyone at handling his problems. The repears are the threat. Shepard understands there is still time to find love. Outlets are important for stress relief and for giving a reason to fight for, but so long as the repears are out there she/he's not going break down.
The staring at the picture scene is a good indication of how Shepard deals with things. Shepard has to be strong, even in the face of emotional suffering, for the good of the team and mission. Shepard understands this better then anyone that the Repears have to be stoped.
and sorry, I play Manshep, so my bias is to write from a male perspective.

If you romance Jacob in ME2 you can complain to him about being lonely/under pressure/what have you. Be much better if they just gave back Kai Kai though.

Good question.
There was a scene in ME1, where Shepard had a kind of a weak moment, and the LI comes and picks him/her up. You know, the almost kiss at the lockers before Joker ruins the moment.
I guess the devs thought that Shepard looking at the picture before the final mission was an equivalent... but no. It really, really wasn't.
Given the drunken heart to heart with Chakwas, they could have wasted a little time and given Shepard that vulnerable moment with her, if you choose to have it. I know Kelly is the real shrink, but I can see Shepard opening much more easily to Chakwas, esp. after their sharing of the brandy. They could have had a short talk, where you could play up Shepard being vulnerable about the botched meeting with Liara/Kaidan/Ash. Would have been a great character moment for both Shepard and Chakwas. And of course, the tough Renegades could have always blown her off with a "mind your own business, doc!"

Manshep looks pissed during that scene in ME1, not hurt. I only did it once with Femshep(and found out that talking to liara once got her in the romance with me....shesh) so i can't remember Femshep's look.
So I would have to say the picture holds a stronger connection.

Pissed, yeah, but also at an impasse. The first moment where s/he is at a loss. Instead of launching to action, as usual for Shepard, s/he goes to sulk in the locker room.
Eh, I just liked the moment of weakness there, that the LI is the only one to see. The LI is the one who pulls Shepard up. Though I think you can sort of blow your top there too... Wonder if that ends the romance?
