Gamesworkshop was awesome. They made my favorite board game of all time. Talisman. :D

Freaking A. I love Talisman. Posted Image Although I now forbid my husband from using the dragon expansion. Too many dragons!

My first goal in every game was to rush to the Cityscape and try to become the Sheriff. For some reason, I always wanted to be the Sheriff.

My brother on the other hand always wanted to be the Astromancer and stay in Timescape.

It makes me sad because I can't find my overstuff box with all the expansions in it. Posted Image

Well, I like the Warhammer 40k universe, or rather, most of it  - some of it is just too over the top for me though.

The thing with the Anti groups are just stupid, and I'm all for same sex relationships, since a I know a few gays myself.  One of the gays I know is named Philip he  is a sweet heart, and worked with my mother at a teen health clinic here in Houston. That is when I learned what Homosexuals were, since I was quite young at the time I only about knew about Heterosexuals. I told my mother we should invite him, and his wife over for dinner one night, and she said that he actually  has a husband , and then she told me about what Homosexuals were.

I support all Gay right movements, and If they want too have a option then let them have it I say screw Fox News, and the Anti Gay crowd. Saying their not Homophobic is funny as hell when there in a Anti Group. The no minorities groups is just really,  so sad that its not even funny. I live in area of Humble that is mostly Minorities of another race than I, and it makes me sick when people create groups like that.

I think I knew a gay guy back in college - he always denied it, but everyone was like "No, seriously, is he gay, cus he acts..."... basically, take the stereotypical gay guy, and that was him with a lisp. I mean, he even became a hair stylist...

Though he wasn't bullied for it or nowt. And we were friends til he leave college for hair stylist school.

As for gay rights...well...really? Its not much of an issue here. The only real difference between gay marriage and straight marriage is the name "Civil union" - in law, its the same. Not that some ****s don't spoil it and attack gays but any group that stands out these days gets attacked on the Saturday nights when the pubs kick out.

Comic shop? We don't have those here. Nor hobby stores, I think - used to have a GamesWorkshop in the town but that shut down years ago.

What? What sort of wilderness do you live in man??  I always thought England to be a very civilized place. Posted Image

*smirks* Well, I don't know about the rest of England, but the nearby towns are pretty run down. Fortunately, I live outside of them, though village life...meh. I don't like the locals.

That's too bad.  When you mention going on walks I always imagine you get to walk through a nice village or something.  I probably watch too much BBC. Posted Image  I have to drive to get to nice scenery around here.

Oh, the scenery is nice and all, and the locals are polite enough... its just there mostly old, and I'm pretty sure their techno phobes.

That game is certainly epic with all the expansions laid out.  Last time my hubby hung out in Timescape and the rest of us were just like, ok John, have fun over there. lol

My husband and our friends finally talked me in PnP RPing a few years ago. I've played Deadlands, Rifts, D&D, Serenity/Firefly, and we're eagerly awaiting the DA:O book.

It's not boring if you stay in character. We have a friend who plays with us and we always role characters who hate each other. The banter gets to be hysterically funny after awhile.

I do always enjoy listening to the guys play. It can get pretty hilarious. The boring part is waiting while the rules get checked, practically non stop. Also, we had 2 groups of characters in separate areas so we had to wait while the other group took a turn.  Also, grell suck.

My husband has been DM'ing since he was 12 through all iterations of the D&D books.  He's very professional about it.  He makes sure he knows the rules before questions come up, so all we have to do is sit back and be our characters.

Pulling together the other topic + Kaidan.

If BW does decide to offer same sex options for the love of god please introduce new characters for it, don’t just pull a DA and make some of the characters bisexual. I know none of us on this forum want to see maleshep hitting on Kaidan and I’m pretty sure the Ash fans don’t want femshep hitting on Ashley.

One of my friends is whom we call our Rules Lawyer - but he's not obnoxious about it. If a question about the rules comes up, he will handle it by the book - regardless of whom it is in favor of. He also doesn't try to bend the rules to his favor.

My current gaming group is awesome because we've all thrown our hats in the ring for running games, and we all seem to enjoy the various styles. (I actually get hounded by one of the players on a regular basis because my game isn't running...)

This!  This!  100x this.  Like I said earlier, I think it would be nice if Bioware actually wrote an exclusively gay or lesbian love interest.

A good DM makes all the difference. Posted Image One of our players knows the rules better than my husband.  We also tend to get a  lot of new players and that slows things down a bit.  Playing 2-3 times a year also puts a damper on things.
My husband would love me to keep playing but honestly I have so little time for fun that I'm going to spend it doing stuff  I enjoy more.  LIke ME.

I hated the Timescape so much.

I do recall one Saturday night years ago, we were playing as family game night and the game was going on into the whee hours of the morning. My mom and I were thankful for the Dragon Expansion that night. The Sacrificial Stone card got drawn and we kept heading there to get killed so we could go to bed. Posted Image

Yeah, that's how my husband deals with it.  Strictly impartially.  I'm the one who never remembers the rules.  They usually involve too much math for me to do on the fly.  There's a reason I majored in English.

Funny story:  One of the few games my husband played instead of DM'ed -- Deadlands -- he and our friend both rolled Texas Rangers.   Halfway through the game, I figured out something odd about the antagonistic relationship between their characters.  Seems that without discussing it, my husband rolled Mal Reynolds and our friend rolled Jayne Cobb.   I spent a good fifteen minutes giggling over that and had to call a time out in the game.

Our group has talked about putting together a ME-based game. It would require some finessing of some Star Wars books though since that would be the best way to incorporate biotics.
