I have never really been a fan of JRPGs.  I always get annoyed when I tell someone I like ME or DA and they recommend some JRPG.  They are not the same people.  I mean there is no doubt Kaidan is male and went through puberty years ago.

Most jRPGs are fairly linear - beautiful - but you are merely completing the preplotted quest that you cannot deviate from. Western RPG developers are the ones coming out with the innovative ways of telling the stories - where you can mold more your own personality to the character (or make the character more your own).

Indeedie - I don't mind being lead around by the nose, so to speak, but at least act like I've a choice - Valve and western FPS' manage most of the time to make it seem like its my choice, why can't JRPGs...

Nah, there's many who doesn't dress up. Would say its a third of the visitors who dresses up.

Well, I'm tempted to dress up if I go, but I don't know if I have the skill and/or creativity to make a costume - even one based on an existing character.

I really don't know much about any of these Cons, heh. Dragon'Con and Comic'Con are the only one's I'ved heard of before - oh, and PAX of course.

Never ever been to a Con. Would love to attend Dragon*Con but I doubt it's gonna happen.

Jordan*Con is new. It's only a few years old. It's for Wheel of Time fans. The leader of my "home" website will be the toastmaster this year so a lot of us are going to support him.



Also, they'll have publishing reps looking for new authors.
