I really really really hope they get rid of the scanning in ME3 - I've got to the point where I only bother to scan the rich ones unless I desperately need a particular resource.  Once I know I've got enough of everythng I don't bother any more.

In all seriousness, I do worry that the off-topicness and fast moving chat is off putting to people who just want to talk about Kaidan.  I totally appreciate the socializing, and I like joining in, but I was scrolling down the last page, and before Jho's pic there was a total of ONE post talking about Kaidan on there, which prompted my comment.

If it happens, I hope it's at least written well. [Unfortunately, I'm not really the drama-loving type. Relational disputes makes me an unhappy camper. ]

But my paragade Shepard would honestly smack Garrus in the head. She doesn't expect Garrus to feel compassion for every living thing, yet starting trouble with a former crewmate on behalf of gut instinct, is completely out of line. We don't know the full story behind Kaidan's actions, and I'd be severely disappointed if Garrus refuses to hear him out first. I'm also sure when that happens, all previous anger and doubt would have dissipated by then. Kaidan's a level-headed man -- I trust that he also has good reasons (albeit misguided) for what he does. After all, Shepard's way isn't always the "right" way. I like having other characters voice their opinions against the commander, because it seems more realistic, and indicative of fact the world isn't black n' white. There are many ways of looking into one thing.

That said, my character better start praying Kaidan won't boil her alive for romancing Garrus instead him! If only she knew Garrus was available as a LI in ME2.

Scanning was fun at first (the sound scanner amused me somewhat- I know...small things...) but now it drags. I remember having an eezo shortage in my first playthorugh and decent depositis of that stuff are so hard to find!!!



Maybe we should get eezo bonus too, he is a biotic god after all...

Speaking of tension between Kaidan and other crew members, my Shep would expect tension to be towards her - and she would help mediate any small disputes, but the minute any of them got openly hostile (even just verbally hostile) she'd probably be picking a fight with whomever was causing the problems with Kaidan.

Given that I get the vibe that Liara is still into your character (regardless if you romanced her or not), I always feel like she intentionally kept it a secret. Don't get me wrong, I love the depth that the story arc gives to Liara (something I felt she lacked in the first game), but I could totally see her feeling like it was her way of winning out for awhile.

You can find out if you don't romance Liara. You just have to ask the right questions after successfully identifying the Observer for her.

Actually Shep is told during the visit to Ilium regardless of whether or not you romanced Liara.   And I had both Garrus and Miranda with Shep at the time, I figured it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think that one of them -- like Miranda who seems to love to manipulate people would find a way to tell him just to keep him off balance ( (look at the way she "kept her promise" to Jacob).  

@ sapphy:  yeah - I can see Liara wanting to keep it a secret as a way of feeling more powerful. Particularly if your Shep took the path that required you to choose between Liara and Kaidan.  In a way, it would be Liara's passive aggressive way at getting back at both Shep and Kaidan for rejecting her.

Yes it does help, I found that out on the first planet after I got tired of scanning in the first 5 minutes...

As for this... I did the same thing for every game but the first. I even did research for how much you need of each to get all upgrades (317,500 PL; 190,000 PA; 47,250 Eezo; 235,000 IR) so that I can just mine til I hit that point and never worry again. And eezo is one I never need, since my bonuses give me more than that starting out.
