@XtremegamerHK47 - hey hows it going, welcome to the Kaidan thread. You may see things that disturb you at first but you'll get used to it, lol I think everyone's still asleep or at work.

So...how's the fic coming?

Have to go to work in a few, but managed to catch up. Always need my daily shot of the kaidan thread before I can do something productive.

Liara vs Kaidan? Um....wouldn't she win? :P

fic is almost finished.  I've actually written the ending but just have to do a bit more before that - I never write stuff in order, lol.  I'll let you know when its finished - probably about 1/2 page to write seeing as I decided to cut a scene or two out

I don't know who'd win that one.  Loyalty makes me say KaidanPosted Image but it would be good to watch

Goodmorning all. I see some new sexy Kaidan pictures

I think that there should definitely be some tension between Kaidan and Liara in ME3. At first I thought that she didn't tell him she found Shepard's body and gave it to Cerberus to be resurrected because she couldn't find him. It is not exactly easy for Shepard to find him herself, but then I thought that Liara had two years to find Kaidan and she deals information so that wouldn't have been that hard to do. So I just guess she didn't want to tell him.

I would imagine its a case of "Liara didn't wanna tell Kaidan she found Sheps body and handed it over to Cerberus on the vague and wild promise they could bring her back"....yeah, see I can see why she'd have a problem with that.

And off for a walk, later.

I'm not sure she would win. If it actually came down to a physical fight between them, and Shep was part of the reason of said fight, I don't know that Kaidan would hold back any.

Hi everyone! I'm just a lurker here and normally I'd be too shy to post, but I had to pop in to say thanks to everyone here. Awhile back my hard drive died and when I got back up and running, I discovered I had all my stuff backed up to my boyfriend's PC except my ME saves. Grr. So while I was moping about that I started reading this thread and it really lifted my spirits. I'm still about 150 pages behind but I wanted to thank you guys for all the lovely art and fic and also for being so much fun!

Yeah I can see that would be a bit problematic, not to mention she gave the body to Cerberus. I wonder how Kaidan would have reacted to than if Liara had told him when she did it.
Or if Kaidan had to chose to give Shepard to Cerberus to bring her back or not what would he have chosen?

Adept vs Sentinel...well...I think Kaidan has the advantage, mostly because I believe that when his buttons are pushed, he's one powerful (and yummy) biotic. The tech stuff helps too, Liara can't do anything if his shields are up right? ;)

Anyway home now, computer at work broke. I seem to break a lot of stuff *chuckles* What a waste of a morning, spend it cleaning up my desk and having a meeting...whooo...blegh.

I don't think Cerberus would have been able to convince Kaidan that giving over Shep's body was the right thing. He doesn't trust them, so he would never trust them with her body - no matter what glittering promises they make.

i always thought kaidan should have been more of a renegade character and ash should've been more paragon. this is not to rewrite the character you guys all know and love. it is just my opinion that the voice actor delivers lines with grit exceptionally well. like i posted earlier, my favorite kaidan line of all time is "smells like smoke and death"

i think if he had been a little more bitter and angsty i might have liked his character more. i really do like kaidan as he is, but i really enjoy making him as renegade as possible.

Hey Akhna, stop lurking and join us.  I used to lurk but one day I thought what the hell and jumped into the thread (dragging it down to my level in the gutter probably, lol).  The gang in this thread are a friendly bunch, we may take the occasional chomp out of Kaidan but on the whole you should be pretty safe.  So don't be too shy to join in the madnessPosted Image

Oh it was quite entertaining turning Kaidan pro-human during my renegade Shep playthrough. It's fun to get some of the sarcastic wit into his character (and Sbarge is great at sarcastic wit).

I wouldn't mind if they added some more humor/wit to his lines - regardless of paragon/renegade standing. I prefer him overall as Paragon - but that doesn't mean you can't be witty and snarky at times.

I agree, I alkso think that some of the others- maybe Garrus would have done the same thing as Liara - their loyalty is with Shepard and not the Alliance or the Council and they are not above using whatever means necessary to get the job done.

Hi Akhna :)

Had the same problem with my hard drive but nothing survived - it was an incentive to replay ME1 and brush up on Kaidan goodness.

I think only Garrus would. Tali distrusts Cerberus so I don't think she would have done so. Honestly, I think Wrex wouldn't either. I think he would respect that she fell as a warrior and wouldn't try to change that.

Now Joker, Joker I could see doing it, but then again, I see Joker as suffering from alot of guilt for Shep dying to begin with.

I though so about Tali but couldn't figuer out what Wrex would do - good call on the warrior death :)

I think that Kaidan might go into a guilt trip over the whole thing though-get all angsty because Liara did for Shepard what he could not, especially when Shepard proves she is not a Cerberus puppet ( that is assuming she did not hand over the Reaper base to TIM). I can see it could be a very complicated thing ( but propbably won't just don't see Bioware playing it that way)

Agreed. It's always easy to say you wouldn't do that if you're not in that position yourself. How far will you go for the one you love? With your back to the wall, the loss you feel, the pain and sorrow...will it cloud your judgement? Cerberus will make a very good case, could Kaidan be so strong to turn them down, knowing Shepard is needed, knowing she could be returned to him? I think the choice would tear him apart, her life in his hands..what will he do with it? He would fear what Cerberus has to offer and part of him will scream to accept it but will he in the end? I really can't say for sure.

So yeah, feeling guilty might be an interesting angle, I can totally see that happen.
