Oooh, a piece of candy! *giggles* That's one of my favorite Family Guy sketches.

My two femSheps that I've played are both loyal. My cannon is very professional and does not go into any kind of relationship lightly. So, even if things can't be mended with Kaidan (and I'll be so pissed if that happens), she wouldn't take comfort with anyone else - especially so soon (Ilos was practically yesterday in her mind).
My renegade femShep is extremely pro-human, almost to the point of being a Xenophobe (and is probably there). The alien squad members are there to perform their roles, and if they happen to die, she doesn't care. Wrex is really the only alien that she has truly liked. He made her laugh with his stories. She doesn't hate Garrus because she finds him easy to manipulate, but he's just a pawn for her machinations in her mind. She doesn't get romantically entangled with her pawns. Grunt is like her favorite pet (since she couldn't bring the Varren on board the Normandy 2). Jacob was blech to her, and then there was Kaidan who listened to her and even eventually agreed that humanity first was the right way to go. She'll just take out her anger with him on the galaxy while she waits for him to come to his senses.

Wow, your renegade FemShep is cold.

Reminds me of Ashley, whom I refer to as "that xenophobic, speciesist ho."  :D

Good afternoon :) I’ve been out all day, I miss anything significant in the last 24 hours?

A re-hash of the Garrus vs. Kaidan discussion, more Horizon reactions, a smattering of DA: Awakening, some LOL cats, and some NH male-on-male butt-grabbing.

Besides that, not much.

So who got grabbed and who did the grabbing?

And that's what separates us from the 'cheaters'.

As I've said before, some people are acting like Kaidan slapped Shepard or something.  Posted Image

I reject the notion that having an LI in ME2 was cheating.  I gave Liara a chance to come with me, and she balked because her Shadow Broker obsession was just SOOOOO important.  Frak her.

And when I'm a FemShep, I say frak Kaidan if he can't understand that (1) she couldn't contact him because she was frakkin' DEAD, and (2) working with Cerberus is necessary because the Alliance has buried their head in the space-sand regarding the Reaper threat.  I just wanted to say, "Dude, get over yourself."

So my Sheploos and FemSheps move on and sleep with whoever they feel like.

I don't like the devs using the term "cheating" either, since they didn't bother to define what kind of relationship Shepard had with the ME1 LI in that month before dying, but Shepard *was* pretty lame on Horizon (not that it's the player's fault).  If I were in control of the character, I would not have let Kaidan/Ash go that easily...but I would have also tried to contact Alliance military and work with them instead of Cerberus.

So much for roleplaying.  Posted Image

Yes CH said how appealing the new romances would be, what he should have said is you probably wouldn't stay loyal b/c of the incredibly brief and unhappy cameo your ME1 LI would get.

One of my characters, cheated with Jacob in my last profile want be doing that one again. The thing is, his dialog sucked, and saying I was second best ect is just lazy ass writing. Plus, he remind me of Kayne West, I'm a big Taylor swift fan he is a no go for me once I figured out who his likeness is made from.

You're a Taylor Swift fan?  *High fives*

Imma let you finish, but Kaidan Alenko is the best Bioware romance of all time.  Of all time!

Yeap! high five you back  I agree with you on the best romance of all time part. lmao

Yep. Before, that made me concerned that I'd have to work hard to stay faithful because Jacob or Thane would turn out to be extra-hunky poolboys and that maybe something would happen to Kaidan like his biotics did something to him to make him unable to serve anymore.

Nope. "Priiiiize" and "I want you, Thane".

I'm not going to knock the Thane romance though. I wouldn't do it, but I understand that nurturing idea of loving a dying man. It isn't enough to leave Kaidan over, though.

They also said the suicide mission would be tough and that we'd probably have people dying left and right. I envisioned a path wrought with peril and a desperate Shepard keeping her lover away so that he wouldn't end up dying along with half of her team.

That didn't happen so much either :?

The reason that I went renegade is, because Kaidan wasn't there to be my center for my mixed alignment character. The one reason, I did good things with that character, and quite frankly the only reason I gave a damn in the first place. When Vimmer happen he had asked to marry her, but was left behind do to him being with the Salarians. She wanted to protect the bomb, so she saved Ashley instead which caused her to go down to a more darker path..

What?  I never liked Ash.  She'd rail about those dirty aliens, and I'd say, "okay, guess I won't be talking to you, then."  And then I let her die on Virmire while I hang out with Kaidan and frak Liara.

Are you saying she has redeeming qualities?

Yes, she does. And surprisingly, not everyone in the future less than a generation after first contact (First contact being a war) is keen on aliens :P

For casual players (I'm thinking of a certain class of younger males I know) - you know, the ones who didn't mine and do every single upgrade and only did loyalty missions for the chick they wanted to hop in bed with - for those players, the suicide mission sucked donkey balls.

Imagine trying to finish the game when you lose one third of your team before the ship even lands!

Personally, I took a hint from the Achievement list and played the entire time trying to earn "No One Left Behind."  But not everyone does that.  And I almost missed Jacob's loyalty mission because I hated talking to him and Kelly, and kept ignoring her efforts to tell me that Jacob wanted to talk to me.

JOKE:  And what's with all the New Hampshire hugging, anyway?

This is one of my favorite of hers. The slight caress to Shep's face, like trying to be sure she was really real. Posted Image

It wasn't as cut and dried as that.  This was largely a result of humanity messing around with things that they didn't fully understand.

That said, the Turians botched First Contact from their side, not stopping to think that perhaps the humans didn't know what they were doing.

Turians are like that. They don't ask 'why' and they certainly don't answer 'why'. ^_^

Ok, it wasn't clean cut - and so what if humans where messing around with things they don't understand? The Council races don't know how to build Mass Relays, but still use'em.^_^

From the article...
This was forbidden under the Citadel regulations after the Rachni Wars, but instead of negotiating, the turians opened fire.

And this - I'm sure if the Turians just said "Dudes, what the hell are you doing?" the humans probably woulda backed off. Instead, the tried to conquer humanity, and thought they had succeeded at Shanxi, heh.

Basically, I don't see the aliens in ME2 as a threat, but I can see why many humans don't like'em.

True dat.

I guess my point is that I didn't get on with Ash because I found her distrust of aliens to be unprofessional and unhelpful.  The war ended because the Council intervened, and Turians and Humans both have a responsibility to be good galactic citizens and respect the Council in that regard.  If Ash and her ilk can't appreciate that the war is over and put the hostilities behind them, they're not helping.

So, like I said, I said, "okay, enjoy your solitude in the Normandy's armory" and sent her to her death on Virmire.
