Kaidan is the type of guy i prefer, mature and calm (fits my Shep perfect). Alistair is really cute and heartwarming but he has certain anoying tendencies (still a favorite though). I havn't actually played kotor (i'm guessing i have to now) so can't judge Carth

You must resist the Carth...you must....we already lost Michelle to him!

Poor Carth, left out in the cold. (And no, I never found him whiny either. Was very confused the first time I came across a Kaidan complaint because they found him too much like whiny Carth. I was all wha- ?!?:crying: I rather want to play KOTOR again now, actually, with all the Carth comments we've been bringing up. The 4-yearl-old would like that. He's a big Star Wars fan, and is weirdly entertained watching me play video games. (I think Mission's his favorite character...

I'd be happy with actual flashbacks to footage from ME1 of Kaidan. That wouldn't be expensive!

Well,
if they planned ahead for multiple DLC's, and then got the VA's in to
do it all at once... *hopeful look* Romance and friendship and mission
dialogue all at once would probably get them enough to be worth the
minimum time requirements and all. But, that assumes they've got enough
in the works that they can plan that much dialogue up front.
@Lianna: I have also always thought Carth and Kaidan were quite distinct, so I can't help you figure out where the original complaint is coming from. Then again, I also never found Carth as whiny as his detractors did, cause he only 'whined' when your PC was harrassing him. Plus, Sbarge could read the phone book and I'd be happy, so Sbarge 'complaining' was just fine with me. More dialogue, yeah!

Hmm...while I'm sure ME3 will have a build up relationship wise, counting the dialogues LI's get in the Mass Effect series, it leaves little room for all out dramatics. Further more it queues the whole 'lovescene before the epic battle' thing again, which I REALLY hope they will steer away from.
I wouldn't like to drag a tense Kaidan along through ME3 and then finally having him swoon over Shepard again right before the last epic battle followed by a "and they lived happily ever after". Would rather see a heated discussion/fight resulting in a good heart to heart at the start of the game, give them 1 or 2 conversation sets to give it all 'some thought' and then put the confirmation of love halfway through the game, leaving the rest up for fluff
This. Agreed! The only addendum is that I wouldn't mind seeing a "loyalty mission" type thing very early in the game where she proves and he proves that they're on the same side.
Also, good morning.

Alistair is most like my husband. It may be the closest thing I ever get to playing an RPG with my husband. MMO's don't count.

Ooooh, I would love an early loyalty mission for Kaidan! With a nice reward at the end of course. And maybe his alternate outfit can be a tux. Or just a towel, that's fine with me too. I guess something to do with Rahna would be the obvious thing, right? Anyone else have any ideas?
Also...speaking of towels...how do you think biotics manage to keep their amp socket thing clear of water when they're showering? Does Kaidan have a little plug he has to push into the back of his head every time he wants to take a shower, go swimming, etc? Haha! It's not easy being biotic.

It would have been SO easy! And so much better than just asking TIM about Kaidan/Ash/Liara. They could even have just recycled a screen cap of the bit in the beginning of ME2 where you tell them to leave and they pause before reluctantly running off, last time you saw them before dying and everything. Of course pre-Ilos would be best.Ohhhh or the lockers almost kiss...

So that's why it doesn't move when he's running around being manly and killing things!
