Ah, I hated that.  I stayed up all night to replay a happier ending to get the bad taste of the total lack of companion reaction out of my mouth.

Vaguely?  VAGUELY?!  He dies not six months ago and she only remembers him vaguely?  Look, I knew she was old, but I didn't know she had memory loss...

That said, I've never done that horrid ending.  Never ever.  I'll have to eventually (to get the achievements), but when I do, I'll use a mean male dwarf I have waiting in the wings.  He's MEAN.  He'd do something like that.

Nah she remembers him, just hardly says a word about it...more like she airquotes "Ah yes....Alistair"

Well, I wouldn't punch the old lady, but they might.  

I do so like Chakwas with--like you said--her mother hen-ness.  It's so... fuzzy.  My first three FemSheps had limited family contact: Phoenix's mother is all she has left, Rogue grew up on the streets, and Andromeda's... heh.  Yeah.  The whole Mindoir fiasco.  Andromeda particularly liked Chakwas' mommy-ness.  Hmm... I'm feeling some fanfic coming on!  Slowly.

Well, you could just wait until after Horizon to give her the bottle you bought, since that's the trigger.  And then imagine all the dialogue that should be added... *sighs*

It would probably have to be Jacob, because Zaeed is a DLC character. shudder.

Tali, Garrus, or Thane probably.  Because we all know that Aliens = cool.  *Eyeroll* I'd ditch all three of them to have had Kaidan as a squaddie in ME2.  Or a project Asherus.

Haha, my first thought is physically dragging Kaidan back to the Normandy.  But kissing and tears should be involved, definitely.  I can't believe they couldn't spare the resources to make the Horizon reunion better.  Just off the top of my head, here's some lines I would have liked to be able to say:

Kaidan, thank god you're okay, I thought you were taken by the Collectors! 
I was dead, really dead, but Cerberus retrieved my body, and spent billions of credits bringing me back to life. 
When I woke up, finding you was my first priority. 
Anderson told me your location was classified, but I wanted to find you.
I would prefer to work with the Alliance, but would they give me the resources I need to attack the Collectors as soon as possible?
I understand why you don't trust Cerberus, but I want to prove to you that you can still trust me...

OMG, would it be so hard for them to have put lines like that in there??? 

I'll second the "Kaidan, thank God you're okay."  In the first version of Doubt Thou the Stars Are Fire I actually included the Horizon reunion and that was the first thing my Shepard said to Kaidan.  Almost word for word, too.

Pfftt if there was no Kaidan, I would wait for them to implement the Ken romance. I mean...he could be fun. Then again, if he's Kelly's male counterpart or whatever the phrase is...does it mean he'll do the stripping routine too? I....hmm...okay...my mind totally went there *sighs at herself*

I've heard of this Ken thing of which you speak. And do want. Especially if it's supposed to be casual and hold no bearing what-so-ever on the pic of Kaidan in my cabin.

As far as the Horizon thing goes - I think I hit my most frustrated point right around the "Why didn't you contact me?" point. Hello? I've only been searching frantically for you from the moment I regained consciousness! My renegade Shep even gets an e-mail from the Reds. But you never bothered with even a WTF? message? I seriously checked my private terminal for Kaidan messages obsessively my first playthru.

Also, the 1st time I played, I didn't have a handle on my scars problem yet. Some kind of reaction would have been nice. A tender touch to the face, perhaps?

Yeah... Garrus, who most of us probably took with us, didn't even say a damned thing.  THAT was annoying.

I was actually on the social site during class today, but not here. The last thing I wanted was the posibility of a semi-nude man being flashed to the class on a gigantic monitor for graphic design. The irony is that none were posted while I was gone! I find that hilarious

Hi, tatt! It's PJ!  I got that ending on accident. I was so sure that my fem warden would die, and I wanted to see teh sad from Alistair (he does go on and on about Duncan's death). When Alistair took the choice from me I bawled. The only time I've ever cried because of a video game.

I'm not sure about that. Maybe she mentioned Kaidan because he was in there all the time for meds. Perhaps she depended on him like she depends on Joker. She'd certainly be closer to him than Ash.
