Don't mind at all, Teen.
I'm still hoping one day you'll treat us to a yummy Kaidan pic since I think you've done such a gorgeous Ash pic there.

Oh, I definitely have plans to do that, still.  I just needed to get my unfinished stuff out of the way first.  The plan was to have Ashley standing in front of the fish tank in Shepard's cabin, so that's why the "lighting" is so flat and busted right now on this pic.  I'm super critical of my own art, that's why I always preferred oil painting to acrylics, there was a lot more leeway to fix mistakes when you're waiting for oil paint to dry.  Drawing in Photoshop is great, but it's still weird to me sometimes.  And I need to find some photo references of dudes to use for a Kaidan drawing, I'm totally not used to drawing guys.

I know how you feel. Whenever I finish something (especially when I have a class critique coming), I feel woefully inadequate until I accept that my art will never be perfect. And men are very wierd to draw.

You could use Jho's pics for references... esp the sekrit pic. Mmm.... that was the perfect body :innocent:

I would definitely ask Jho for some of her original source photos for guys. I'm sure she has more hidden away that could help you, Teen.

I had really really low expectations for 'Awakenings', so I was actually pleasently surprised with the way things turned out. And my human nobel's connection to Alistair turned out much better than this:

(hilarious, by the way). It felt rather... hasty, would be the word, I guess. But if you liked Dragon Age, it's worth the $ and time to play it at least once.

As disappointed as I was in ME2, I think it ruined Dragon Age for me. I played DA through countless times, changing things up, and always finding something new. But ever since ME2 hit, I just can't go back to it.

I liked DAO, but I didn't love it. I think Orzammar was a game-breaking quest for me; it was long and painful and after a while the music felt like someone was trying to tickle the inside of my ear with a pipecleaner. *start horror music*

I don't think you'll get in trouble for saying that. I have to be in the mood to play ME2. It's an uphill battle for me to get to Horizon.

I think I had ME1 beaten about 5 times in the first month I had it. I've had ME2 for almost 2 months and I've beaten it once and I'm halfway through another playthrough.

Orzammar was great. The first time you play through, but it takes too long in comparison to all the other parts, IMO. Too much running around, and far too many load screens (which with the PC version - this could turn into horrendous waits due to the memory leak). I still loved the game for the story, but I can't replay it like I was hoping.

I can still replay ME2. It's not as fun as replaying ME1 though.

Yusss. Why is it that I can play ME1, to this day, and not get bored? ME2... not so much.
I felt complete after finishing ME1, But ME2 just makes me incredibly impatient to play ME3.

It's the story. And the Kaidan. Posted Image

I always make sure any new playing of ME2 commences after I finish a new ME1 playthrough. It makes it a bit better.

I still replay me2 though, since I want my ten Shepard's story to be complete... One where I sacrifice, Kaidan in the game don't kill me. I'm trying to give my mixed alignment character a reason to go bad in Me2.

Yup, if I wasn't so fond of ME1 already, I would have no problems with ME2, as a standalone game.  It's comparing it with the original and missing Kaidan (and Ashley, and Liara, and Wrex...Posted Image) that makes it feel lonely to me.  It's just feels kind of short and empty in comparison, but if I had no basis of comparison I think I'd like it just fine.

And I will look to Jho for inspiration for a Kaidan drawing, she has a gift for finding hot shirtless men...Posted Image

Morning, ladies! Did I miss a second sekrit pic last night, by any chance? One that Jho was carefully applying chest hair to? Just want to make sure that my...collection is complete. ;)

I don't think there was a new secret pic. The last one that made the rounds as far as I know was the one from yesteday morning.

THIS!  ME1 had an ending.  It was like "*content sigh* We've saved the day, all is well!"  Then the end of ME2 was like "Aw, heck.  We're effed."  And there was no Kaidan.  That little "O hai" moment on Horizon doesn't count for me, because it wasn't a proper reunion, nor was it long enough!

There was no second sekrit pic.

I agree about ME1 and ME2. If ME2 weren't meant to be a "sequel", then I may have enjoyed it a lot more. But because I fell head over heels for the first game, I found the second one very hard to swallow. I'm NOT a shooter person at all, nor am I really a sci-fi person, so that says a lot for ME1 that I played it over and over again.

For those who may not have heard this was just tweeted:     "Mass Effect 2 Firewalker DLC featuring the Hammerhead coming Tuesday March 23rd!"

I know it will not feature Kaidan, but I thought some of you may be interested.

Go to the Valve website and download a free copy of Steam. Always deals on there for PC games (and most older games are discounted)

I'm so far willing to forgive BW for the lack of Kaidan in ME2, but I am trying to be optimistic that they are going to hold true to their word about a three-arc romance, and that we'll get a hell of a payoff for sticking it out in ME3.

Oooh more reason to replay through ME1 with my cannon Shep (for the extra Kaidan goodness (almost typed godness *Giggle*)). Then I can replay ME2 with something new to do (while I miss Kaidan Posted Image).

Hmm maybe that'll motivate me to go through ME1 again and get ready for the new and 'improved' ME2....still..the game needs more Kaidan.

@Sapphy: I still haven't played ME2 since downloading the new heavy weapon. Hoping the new Hammerhead DLC will be enough motivation to pop ME2 back in the Xbox.

I just keep thinking that maybe running over some bad guys with a vehicle will make even my Paragon Shep feel better - since she's all forlorn over the lack of Kaidaness on her Normandy. (That sounds dirty to me ... LOL)
