LOL, this talk of unusual Shepard names reminds me of some of the more crazy fanfiction I've read, mostly for Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.  The names some of the authors come up with are very...unique.  I just can't read fan fiction with original characters because of the craziness I've seen, anymore.

Dementia is a very tough thing for someone to have. Sometimes dementia patients get very upset because they are aware that they're forgetting things. I feel very bad for their OC. So does Kaidan.

I know it's been two years, but how do you all feel about how much they changed looks in ME2? He aged a lot.

Grief will do that.  They all changed in those two years.

The fact that he appears to have aged doesn't bother me at all. I chalk it up to the change in the graphics engine, and also to the fact that in those two years, he's been through probably quite a bit of repressed emotional stress that will age almost anyone.

This. 
I saw it less as actual age and more as grief, exhaustion, stress, etc. 
Also, Sappy, got the edits and added them too.

well I put my list of those up the other day.  I was under the impression we were now after happy songs

It didn't bother me. I just found it odd that he appeared to age much more than the other LI/NPCs

I figure that both Liara and Ash are more likely to find a way to deal with their grief rather than just keeping it bottled up. Kaidan seems the type that he would not have much of an outlet for his grief, so he'd keep it all on himself instead.
