Honestly, I wouldn't want a live action ME movie. It would never be able to meet the expectations of all the fans since the game allows so much customization and choice. Jessica Alba wouldn't fit my personal idea of a Commander Shepard though. Not saying she couldn't do it, but she would not be my first choice.

As a dyed-in-the-wool Halo fan, let me just say that the only way I ever want to see a Halo movie is if it DOESN'T include John-117 (Master Chief to those of you unfamiliar with the universe).  We know that character, and while seeing him on film would be cool, it doesn't do anything to expand the story.

Same is true with ME.  Sure, do an ME movie, just don't have Shepard in it.  The books have done just fine using that tactic.

I totally agree, but in a fantasy-never-gonna-happen Mass Effect movie with femShep, I nominate Lena Headey:

She's going to be Cersei Lannister in the HBO Game of Thrones series.  I cannot wait...

I love her.  She was a way better Sarah Connor than Linda Hamilton.  Plus, she was dead-sexy (and nekkid) in 300.

I guess I really need to start reading Song of Ice and Fire...

Regarding Miranda and details about Shep's body... was I the only one who took the "Luckily we know your size" line in the letter you get with the Cerberus armor waaaaaay wrong?

I love being a pretty princess in games too! For Faith Shepard, I wanted her to look like a little tempermental and waifish. My colonist/sole survivor was made with huge blue eyes and pouty lips. All of my femSheps end up being the 'adorable yet can kill the **** out of you' type. I seem to do this in all games that I play.  In fact...my male Bethesda characters end up being pretty too

On Miranda: I do think she'd be conscious of Shepard's 'patient privacy'. I'd trust her to keep quiet about things unless it involved business. She wouldn't gossip or whatnot.

I prefer Shep somewhere in the middle, pretty but not girly, minimal make-up all the way, probably because I can't separate myself from my characters so I tend to base them on me (the not girly part I mean).

As for male characters I tend to make them look like my avatar, again based on what I typically like Posted Image

As far as Miranda goes, it seriously creeped me out when I thought about how intimately she knew my Shep's body but I guess for her it would just be work, doubt she ever really considered it as anything else.

I would be fine with a movie set in the ME universe, but like BT said, just not an official ME movie based off the games.

Teen: I could totally see Lena as a femShep though. She has played many roles that are a wonderful mix of tough and vulnerable. And she will be an awesome Cersei. Ooh, I want to see that show now.

Nah, just makes it easier to get nekkid for her.  She's already seen it all.

Oh, no, just not her. I'm not gonna explain why, just... she's waaay too girly. Finding a good actress for Shep would be like finding a good actress for major Kusanagi.
Besides... You guys know what happened to Resident Evil, Blood Rayne etc, etc...

What is awkward is being a dudeShep that has Jack or Tali instead. I'm sure unbidden mental images came to Miranda e.e

If a movie gets made, and I say IF, it'll be male Shep, they don't even show a femShep trailer we won't get a look in which means no Kaidan romances therefore I'm not interested *sigh* stupid Sheploo canon

Default, not canon. Not that BioWare's marketing department will ever get that into their thick craniums.

As for a movie. Hollywood bores me. The market is saturated with male heroes. Even James Cameron who had huge, HUGE success with strong central female characters (Aliens/Terminator 1 & 2) plays it safe these days in stuff like Avatar (even though the male lead is an uncharismatic fool... okay I just hate Sam Worthington.. HATE).
Um where was I? Oh yeah, KAIDAN'S SHORTS ARE MINE.

Yeah, there'd be no choice, Kaidan would die on Virmire. :crying:

Though their uniforms leave little to the imagination, I haven't see either naked. Miranda doesn't have that benefit.

In fact, if femShep romanced Jacob, I can't imagine the awful mental images the poor gal got :(

Nah, I've said this before and I'll say it again.
As per standard Hollywood action/sci-fi schlock it'd go like this:

Shepard would be the big buff male hero.
Liara would be the love interest.
Ashley would be the tough female co-star who ends up dying, hence Ashley is Virmired.
Kaidan ends up as the male comic relief/reinforcer of Shepard's alpha male status, thus requiring him to constantly fail and/or complain and be obnoxious.

....

Actually dying on Virmire might be preferable. :pinched:

The sad thing is, you know that this is probably pretty much exactly how a lot of the immature (mostly boy) gamers on the forums see the game as.

Pretty much. There couldn't be a normal Kaidan in a ME movie because "that's just wrong." They'd probably make him extremely naive and foolhardy and constantly sticking his foot in his mouth (a trait that the real Kaidan does only around femShep).

And if they made said movie, I would have to go on an assasination spree.

I think that would apply to Joker more than Kaidan, and if they did that I would complain so badly

Whedon.. hm.. I don't know about Kaidan getting Virmired, that's too quick for Whedon.

More likely, Kaidan gets captured by Sovereign, is tortured horribly while Shepard has to watch, THEN gets Virmired.
