Yeah Virmired is too quick for Joss Whedon. He likes to torture his characters a little before the whole dieing part in which I could see Sovereign capturing Kaidan turning him in to a sleeper agent, and having female Shepard kill him, and then telling her he loved her whit his dying breath. I love him to death, but the man love angst.
Man I am good at figureing out Whedon.
Or!
His L2s keep giving him problems throughout the movie and he *doesn't* get Virmired, but after the defeat of Saren, Kaidan's implants suddenly make him go nuts and either try to kill everyone or he has to live in an asylum for the rest of his days.
True!
Or Sovereign makes all the botics go nuts.
Instead of possessing Saren's corpse, Sovereign possesses Kaidan.
Shepard must either shoot Kaidan in the head, or let the galaxy burn.
Edit: Oh and by the way, Sovereign can possess Kaidan because of his L2 implants, which are part of a huge conspiracy among human traitors to allow the Reapers to control humans.
Which Captain Anderson inadvertantly authorised while rubber stamping some things back in the day..
