Yeah Virmired is too quick for Joss Whedon. He likes to torture his characters a little before the whole dieing part in which I could see Sovereign capturing Kaidan turning him in to a sleeper agent, and having female Shepard kill him, and then telling her he loved her whit his dying breath. No he can't write a happy ending.  In fact, I think it's genetically impossible for him to do so!   However, (a d'oh-to-me moment) it occurs to me that this is probably why we've been awash in less than happy endings with BW games lately since his work seems to be much admired/inspirational for the Bioware folk.

I'm going to take a chance and respond to this before finishing my catch-up... *looks over shoulder for ninja*  Actually in the Silverite Mine you do lose your clothes - no but. Part of the quest is finding the various creatures that have them.   

There is a bug where the mobs wont drop your gear. From reading the tech forum it seems quite many suffer from it.

Interesting.  Fortunately it didn't happen to me although I suddenly lost a dagger during a battle. Said dagger appeared to be equipped but it wasn't.  After my character left the mine, the dagger suddenly appeared equipped on another character.

Honestly, gettng a bit tired of seeing Michelle Rodriquez in the cliche tough gal role. She's type cast so often it gets tedious and 9 out of 10 times she dies, so I guess that part applies at least. Every time I see her in a movie I know exactly what she's going to be like, such a shame.

Anyway, I hope they never make a Mass Effect movie and if they do, I hope it's just using the ME universe and not Shepard's story.

I was hoping I was mistaken, but I've been looking up info on it all day today...some people (like me) are not having the fourth Experimental Subject spawn, which means that you don't get your PC's gear back.  If you're nekkid and the rest of your party has generic clothes when you're imprisoned, you've got the bug.  I think the solution right now is just reloading before you're jailed, and stripping your main character.  Ugh. 

Edit:  Also, Velanna is waaaay ****ier than Morrigan, so far.

Sorry to hear you're having a problem. Did you find the chest near the exit?  That has a bunch of your stuff as well.
 
I'm liking Velanna as well. I ended up with both Anders and Velanna in my party going through the mine and it worked really well.

No, you have to still use the DA upload thing in order to get the avatars to work still.

I don't see why they don't just find a way that you can get a snapshot of your Shepard.



Maybe that'd be a cool dlc idea. Have something like the Lazarus project screen and you can change the face's angle and background to create a snapshot of your Shepard to put on the social site.

That would be a great idea, Fort. I was hoping since they worked to add the whole DA upload thing for Origins that they'd also add the same feature to ME2 since you had to connect to the server anyways to access most of the additional content that came free with the game.

I'm trying to get an avatar of my Shepard via the DA portait thing too, but it takes weeks (literally) at this point before any changes to my DA saves come through on this site (possibly even months). I've been waiting for a looooong time.

While I'd love it if they came up with an option to create forum avatars of your Shepard the same way as your DA chars, I'd settle for them doing something about these ridiculously long times that you have to wait for your game progress and such to upload here (also for non-avatar related reasons).

It took me a little while to decide to go blonde. Many of my characters are brunettes or redheads.  But for some reason it just seemed right for this particular game.  This is a paragon Shep who is so paragon that she's able to now choose renegade options without it impacting her paragon persuade status.  My thought is that given her looks, people -- males in particular -- make a lot of assumptions about her abilities, strength and intelligence  (or lack thereof).  But just because she looks like a fairy princess doesn't mean she acts like one and you know the old saying about making assumptions...... :P:lol:

ME movie - NO. I just don't think they could pull it off.
Scars - I agonised for so long over what scar to give my Shep in ME1, only to lose it totally in ME2 - but it does make sense that it was lost in the rebuild
