Yes, but woman don't want petnames that were for your dead wife. They want pet names that were meant for them only. Thoes damn Batarians should go too hell for what they did that man.

Well I wouldnt know of that.

But you sure he used that name for his wife?

Yes, he even said so in the game. :wizard:

I dont see whats so bad about that though.

It makes the woman feel like she a replacement for the dead lover. Do you need Datting 101 again?

Again?

And why would you feel that though. If he wanted to remember her he could just go into one of his flashbacks.

I'd do the same to the BF (we've been together for almost 7 years) if he called someone "Sweetness" if I died tragically.

It is not endearing to be called the endearment of a dead loved one.

What class are you playing as?

I have the perfect ME1 vanguard setup for insanity mode if you decide to go that route ^_^

Vanguard! Posted Image

Love my vanguard sooo much. (And it compliments Kaidan's Sentinel well)

Awesome. I kept my team as Kaidan and Wrex.
Kaidan could do everything (minus singularity) and had slightly more health than Liara. He also had neural shock <3
Wrex is a copy of Shepard's vanguardness with the added bonus of craploads of health and tanking.

Put it together and you have everything you need. Singularity is not as useful because the enemies fly all over the place. And forget shotguns... maxed marksman will give you the constant shooting needed to keep enemies down until they die ^_^

Now I want to do it again lol.

The problem I always had was that I needed either Tali or Garrus in ME1 so that I had both decryption and electronics.
Could never use the team I really wanted.

Lucky for us that Kaidan as Decryption and Electronics. Becaus he is a sexy biotic TECH god. Posted Image

He does?
Aw man I wish I knew that before.:pinched:

I consider it better just to use the squad mates you want in general, disregarding decrpytion and all that. The game's easy enough as it is, and hacking stuff just adds to the nightmare of managing the ME1 inventory.

It's disrespectful.  And kinda cheap.  Like a philanderer calling all his "dates" baby.  You don't have to keep track of which name you should be calling out.

Why do you guys like Garrus?
What was his romance like?

I haven't romanced Garrus, but his romance scene was my favorite of the female LI options in ME2.  It was so awkward and sweet.  I just really didn't like the lead in, the proposition Shepard makes about "letting off steam" seems to come out of nowhere, and didn't seem appropriate to the conversation.  Much like Jacob, it felt like the writers were forcing the romance option in without regard to what a roleplayer would prefer.

If Garrus were human, I'd definitely be interested in him.  I guess I'm boring by playing a sci-fi space opera game and not wanting to romance aliens, but it's not my style.  And Kaidan is too awesome in comparison to everyone else.

I play Vanguards.  Garrus and Kaidan were my geeks.  Though I had Kaidan concentrate on Decryption and Garrus was mostly Overload.

Somebody, it's like Shepard is a replacement for his wife, whom Thane spoke of fondly (not always the best idea). It's kind of like Thane going my wife was the best and perfect, but you'll do, I'll even call you by the same petname. Of course there's more to it than that, but there you have a simple version.

I used Garrus and Kaidan on occasion. It's nice how those 3 squadmate skill bars line up evenly if you pick them and you're a vanguard.

See, I always envision my Vanguard Shep to be tech inept. Give her a gun and she can shoot the hell out of some Geth, but don't ask her to figure out how to decrypt or jimmy an electric lock.

Which makes Shepard second best for both him and Jacob.

I'm actually going to put that into the Captain's Logs how she can suddenly decrypt and hack with out asking Garrus or Tali to take over.  I can imagine that skill is rather startling on my Vanguard.

He's not moved on if he's calling the second woman he fell for by the same nickname as the first one.

It's fine if he wants to move on but it takes away the specialness of the nickname if he uses it on everyone.

Bah nicknames, they are generic.
He calls all his loves the same name, as it should be.

If you ask Jacob if he has an history with Miranda, he says that Miranda deserves a better man. But you can still romance Jacob. So basically he's implying Jacob isn't good enough for Miranda, but he's good enough for Shepard (second best).

Jacob says Miranda needs a better man than him.  Thane is still hung up on his wife.  But yet, they both think Shep is worth a roll in the hay?

I think I'll stick with Garrus or Kaidan.  At least Shep's first in their minds and hearts.

In my ME1 playthroughs my Sheps were mostly Adept so my team consisted of Shep, Kaidan, & Garrus. Garrus swapped out for Wrex to do the get the crappy armour back quest but other than that the others pretty much stayed on the ship. Never bothered with Tali, and after the 1st few playthroughs I didn't bother getting Liara until last. I would have cheerfully left both Liara & Tali on Virmire if I'd had the choice.

I did try the Thane romance in ME2 but felt so guilty when I went to Sheps cabin & saw Kaidan's photo face down that I deleted the whole game, lol.
