Besides, he can always go to Extranet Fetish sites. What?

Kaidan: Okay... keywords.. "Commander" "Shepard" "rule 34"....
Anderson: Alenko, what are you doing on the terminals so late?
Kaidan: *rapidly switches to lolcats* Nothing! Nothing! Just goofing around... look the kitten is saying funny stuff! Aheheh..

LOL! I wouldn't be surprised if there are some extra content packages for those Shepard VIs Mouse is selling either...

"If you built it, they will come...and make a 'no clothes' mod for it. And add in sex scenes. And we have to lock the door to keep Conrad out"

See, I was okay with the thought of extra content VI until you mentioned Conrad...and well... he probably has one ... with the extra content... Posted Image

Kaidan just isn't the type for the one nightstand thing, as many have stated. He's the type who needs to love someone before sleeping with them and even then the relationship has to go somewhere first.

Why does it have to be one night stand or nothing at all?

I stand by my theory, the 'doctor chick' was just the beginning of something that never got a chance to really get off the ground because Shepard came back. I get that impression, from trying to get a life, y'know? quote in the email. I don't imagine him trying to sound apologetic like that if it was just a talk and a drink and the lady had no effect on him whatsoever. His angry reaction on Horizon and how he has to explain why he was angry is another indication he was on his way to recovery and almost starting a new relationship, or at least seriously thinking about it.

I think he was honsetly trying to find someone and connect with them, but I don't think he had gotten all the way there yet before Horizon. And I don't think he would have moved to that part of physical intimacy if he wasn't ready to be committed. It sounded like he was trying to meet people and find someone, but so far, it was just drinks with some doctor.

Well, because, if it wasn't a one-night stand, Kaidan's Mr Winky would have been keep inside and Shep's return pretty much killed off any chance of Kaidan continuing a relationship with anyone else.

Oh my, can you imagine Kaidan having bought one of the VI's? Who needs one night stands

And thanks Estelindis :)

I'd rather imagine Kaidan with a Shep VI than Conrad! Seriously, though, Kaidan with a Shep VI would be hilarious.

Alenko: *comes home, tosses briefcase on kitchen counter, heaves sigh, looks around, smiles* Hi, Shep.
VI: Greetings, Commander Honey. How was your 24 hour time cycle?

EDIT: I think it's the line about his friends setting him up with the doctor that makes me assume he wasn't really in to her, just giving it the ol' college try, doing it to humour them and because he knows he should be moving on and it really would be good for him to get out and give someone a shot.

I'm not saying the doc had no effect on him, why else would he even mention her then? I'm just saying he doesn't strike me as the type to sleep with a woman after a single date. A few dates to me is a relationship going somewhere because neither party would be there if there wasn't some attraction, now would they? :)

Who knows, there could have been more dates with other women he just wasn't in to but the doc was the first he felt something for, which also proves Kaidan is the type who most likely uses the term "making love" over  'having sex". Not wording it properly no doubt lol

Hmm so flirtation, having budding feelings for someone other then your dearly departed counts for nothing? I get the game itself will never get into this, but yeah I don't see it as so black and white as sex or no sex. Sounds like Shepard's return had a huge impact on Kaidan on more then a few levels and flattening any possible LI he might have had.

I liken it to Michelle's interpretation of how Kaidan would take the news of you sleeping with one of the ME2 love interests. I don't think he's the kind of person who would take kindly to hearing "It was just sex" from Shep on why she slept with Jacob/Garrus/Thane.

Yeah, I think he was struggling to have a life...trying to move on just like he did with Rhana and yet when he meets Shep he is still affected by Rahna after all those years...it's only been two for Shep. I think he's putting on a brave face but underneath it all Shep still haunts his every move. The fact that he feels compelled to send an email only hammers the point home. If he had moved on why bother with an email at all.

That was a very powerful read, I could see it too and the game even supports it as if you pick the 'romance' line the picture gets turned over right away, I would have figured it would get turned over a bit later but I guess BioWare takes flirting as serious business. ;)

Yup, flirting means actively wooing someone into your bed in ME2...and quite easily so and thus is relationship breaking. There's no playful flirting or teasing, it's all 'You, me, bed, now. RAWR!"

Plus he and Rahna were never actually involved, she was a teenage friend he had a huge crush on, whom he unwillingly scared away; undoubtedly it shaped a lot of facets of his personality, but it's nothing compared to what he and Shep went through. They lost Ash, went through all the Council frustration, dealt with the lock down, mutinied, raced against time to get to the Citadel, fought there and prevailed, saving the day against all odds...only to have her die in a horrific way right in front of him a month later. I don't know whether it would be worse for him to have seen her get spaced or not. :(

Kinda makes me think that Bioware had something up their sleeves in regard to those who cheated...something unpleasant. After what we got in ME2 I don't think I'd put anything past them at this point.

It would be funny(at least to me) if those that stayed loyal got love scenes more like those from ME and the cheaters got the cheesy fully clothed tasteless love scenes. Okay I know...I'm just being mean now. Just can't get past the fact that the love scenes are even a step back from DAO...it's just weird.

Yeah, Shep probably had a much bigger impact on him than we realize. I really don't know if we'd see him alive if he had been there when Shep had been spaced. I could see him doing everything to save her and losing his life in the process.

All I know is that in MY game, Kaidan was grieving, not interested in a fling, and even though he tried dating that doctor, he was still in love with Shepard, and the moment he found out she was alive, all other women ceased to exist for him.

Aww man that scares me!! The ME1 love scene is so perfect and the fact that those that came after are so awful compared to it makes me think what we'll get in ME3 will never compare. BioWare has been censored and is reduced to giving us unsatisfying fake looking 'sexy' scenes. You know what? If that is really what they are reduced to I vote we get no such scenes and just an old fashioned fade to black and let our imaginations decide what happens, because trying to scrub out a bad love scene out of memory is a lot harder...

lol.. Say it isn't so BW!

I'm on West Coast time here, so I'm playing a bit of catch up with responces.

Sialater wrote...

Shepard's sort of becoming Saren, especially if you kept the genophage research to yourself, you spared the rachni, you have the geth -- whether you rewrote them or not, you have an Asari Matriarch (Samara) on your side. I could see the Virmire Survivor confronting you on those similarities and you have to talk them over to your way of thinking. Hopefully, it won't be too tough a persuade...

I think there is a lot to be said for this.  A part of me wonders if that won't be how they get Kaiden/Ash onto your crew.  They know that these are people you trust.  They could likely convince them to go with you to keep an eye on you.  Part of me wonders if they might not be there convertly reporting on you to the Alliance.  Imagine the story twist if they either admit to you or you find out that they've been sending reports back.  If you keep your relationship going they might admit it to you, saying that their sorry that they didn't tell you what was going on.  If your not, then you would find out somehow.

SEXY as hell...[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

Hey, if the man can wear pink, then he is more then confident enough to wash his own socks.

One of the many reasons that I married my husband is that he is not at all shy about helping around the house.  He's actually a better cook then I am.  And he had no problem carrying my purse for me when I was on crutches.  And that security in himself is darn sexy.

To bring this back to Kaiden, he really does strike me as the type that would be totally fine with holding a purse, going to the store, and helping around the house.  I think he'd be rightfully miffed if he was doing all the work, but if you are meeting him halfway, then no issues what so ever.

Yeah don't even get me started on the clothed dry-humping in ME2.

It's like a porno movie made for 13 year olds.
