I wouldn't mind it. I dunno. Shep is more than capable of taking care of herself ( with the exception of the original normandy being blow'd up of course >.>) but I wouldn't mind a Kaidan swooping in to save the day. A one time thing though. Shep has a reputation.

Here's a topic for discussion:  Do you want Kaidan to "save" you at any point in ME3?  Or would you prefer Shepard to be the hero at all times?

Yes I really would like for Kaidan to save Shepard for once, maybe from herself, maybe from her questionable implants, it doesn't have to span the whole game just at the beginning or a crucial moment. Shepard is super but she is because she's very  human (or he is..), or at least that's what I'm getting from the game, showing us some more of her weakness would be nice especially if the game ends with her doing something crazy and amazing, saving the galaxy for future generations now and forever..

I love the stories where the protoganist is awesome, but is really that way because of their friends and lovers and the people that support them throughout.

I did find out that the Phoenix armor thing is sadly just the way it is; as I suspected, that is, indeed, a cut scene that can't be altered.

I personally would like to see Kaidan have a more aggressive role, if the story allows it.  I don't need him to be a grunting, chest beating alpha male, but taking the initiative at least once during the game would be nice.

My biggest problem with Dragon Age: Origins was how silly it was that your Grey Warden had ALL the power, made ALL the big decisions, and was never in a position to have a friend take the lead.  It bothered me a lot, and I wish that the developers at Bioware realized that some of us, or maybe most of us, if we like Bioware games, are in it for the story...and if all the other characters in your story are doormats, it's kind of unrealistic and silly.  I really want to see Bioware games allow NPCs to have major roles AND be the hero occcasionally, and romances between NPCs.  I would have been thrilled if Miranda and Jacob had gotten back together, since I had no interest in romancing either character.  Hope they eventually start doing this sort of thing.

I think that'd be neat. Like say if the team needs to split up but Shep is going to pick someone not qualified and Kaidan is all like "Nuh uh nooo way. It's going to be me. I can get the job done. and I'll pick Garrus for back up. /glare Iseehowyou'relookingather." Garrus: "/blink ... her waist is... supportive? "



But yeah. All in for some characters taking the initiative. And there's no need for them to be a jerk about it either you know?

 I would love to see Kaidan take some initiative as a LI as well.  One of my favorite moments in DA:O is when Alistair speaks up at camp about his intentions/desires.  My warden always plays hard to get, just for that conversation.

It would certainly be more realistic to have them working as partners.  I liked it it fact at the beginning of ME1 after she pulled him away from the beacon, when he and Ash carried her back to the ship. It would be nice if just for once to have Shep get pinned down and have Kaiden swoop in for rescue rather than the other way around.  Of course, if he's a Staff Commander now and her rank doesn't change, perhaps this will allow us to see him be more in charge at times!

Re Bioware pairings...it wouldn't be completely new for NPCs to get together.  In BG:SoA if you were female or a male who didn't romance Aerie, Haer D'alis romanced her.

I would love to see Kaidan save Shep. Although, when I first saw that post, all I could really think about was having Kaidan swatting all of the ME2 Li's away with a biotic throw. Or maybe use a biotic pull to get Jacob/Thane/Garrus out of the elevator to Shep's quarters.

I'd also support being saved by Kaiden.  No one is perfect, or can account for all possibilities.  Heck Legion shot a few husks off our back, and my Shep at least felt nothing but greatful.  Being saved by Kaiden would just add an extra degree of yummyness to the scene.

I second the motion.  It would help me feel that my Shep is worth persuing, rather then just being the persuer.

Though I'm a Tali LI sort, it needs saying that this thread is important if only because Kaidan always gets a terrible rap. Simply put, he's a good guy - and the decision to leave him behind on Virmire was never without perpetual guilt. Prior to ME2, I was stuck with Ashley as Shep's LI because I hate Liara's very being. However, with Tali, I have now been freed from Ashley's clutches, I have been able to choose Kaidan instead to live in all of my files going forward.



Thus, while the pages of half naked Kaidan aren't *quite* in accord with my purpose here, I would like to say that I support his full inclusion in ME3 and consequently feel an obligation to add to this thread.

I think a lot of us Kaidan fans would like Jacob a lot if we didn't feel railroaded into feeling like our Shepards are flirting with him in every conversation. It's kind of been our running joke on here that Jacob and femShep appear sleazy together to us.

As far as ME3 is concerned, I wouldn't wish anyone to be excluded

Though I do like Kaidan more. He's got a much more zen attitude, and he's very low key and low maintenance.
