Every conversation regarding Kaiden in ME2 seems to hint that we may have shared a bed together. I'm sure I sound like a total homophobe right now, but I really thought this did an injustice to their friendship. Unlike meeting Wrex or Garrus, which gave a great sense of camaraderie, the reunion with Kaiden and the conversation about him with both Kelly and Joker both just felt awkward.

Did anyone feel this way or am I just a crazy homopobe?

No this is actually a good point and indication that BioWare writers need to really stop creating dialogue that can be interchangeable because clearly it just doesn't work.. <_<

The nudity problem is, because of stupid asses who think an M rated game is for kids. I tend to agree, that the loves scenes were better in ME1. In Me2 Jacob's/shepherd love scene felt like a Will smith movie with a bad love scene. I think the way the handled the loves scenes in Me1 would do great for Me3.

Well, it's the end of the trilogy, they need to show the 'riding off into the sunset.'

They did that in ME1, too late. :wizard:

Between Ashley and Liara, I always went with Liara in ME1. Being her Commanding officer I always thought it was pretty unprofessional to form an intimate relationship with her. Same goes for Kaiden if your a femShep.

But I always save Kaiden over Ashley. There is really no right answer to who you should save, but I always saw Kaiden as being the bigger loss. Hes an officer and a biotic. Ashley is enlisted and just a basic soldier. I also thought Kaiden had a lot more in common with the Paragon Shepard.

I have no problem with Kaiden not trusting Shepard when they meet on Horizon. Personally, I wouldn't have trusted Shepard either and still hate that we are forced to work with Cerberus in this game, but that is besides the point. What I don't like is how all the conversations feel if your not a FemShep. Every conversation regarding Kaiden in ME2 seems to hint that we may have shared a bed together. I'm sure I sound like a total homophobe right now, but I really thought this did an injustice to their friendship. You're probably right if they didn't change the lines at all for manShep. Just keep telling yourself it's bromance. No ******!

Edit: Oh and someone here wrote a really funny Shep/Kaidan bromance fanfic, can't recall who... It will definetly help you cope with it.Posted Image Anyone recall?

Not sure what to make of the DA scenes really. The underwear really made me snicker, fact that it's ugly underwear made it worse. But the flashes you get, the second here and few seconds there, I dunno..just wasn't my thing. I adored the way Alistair looked at the Warden in his though, passion written all over his face. Lovely detail but still odd scenes. In a way I like the kissing scene better than the actual lovescene.

The ME1 lovescene was lovely, but they ruined it a little with Kaidan's dialogue at the end ;) The only problem I have with that scene now, is that I would want to see more clear facial expressions. Something they are doing in ME2, like seeing them kiss rather than looking at the back of Kaidan's head.

The ME2 scenes are horrible, just horrible. Add to that the fact that malesheps got way better scenes and I was really annoyed. Better scenes in the way of still being stupid, but they seemed longer, more detailed and something actually happened.

If you want to do a lovescene and not show too much, why not focus on the faces a bit more, on emotion rather than bodylanguage. Zoom in on the bare back of a man who's holding an obvious naked Shepard but you don't see much of her. There are so many ways of suggesting they are making love without seeing full body contact or whatever. You can avoid the big no no areas like, heaven forbid, breasts, that way too.
A man can still seem to touch a woman without having to show the full detail of where his hands are caressing her, but a shot of her face with closed eyes and parted lips can say a lot ;)

I just don't get the underwear in DAO or the fully clothed scenes in ME2. No excuse for it that makes sense to me.

Actually I believe the only "love scene" if you can even call it that, that has any length or detail to it at all is Miranda's. I mean, they made a whole new model for her for that scene alone!

In fact that scene was shown about a lot before ME2's release. Well not the whole scene, specifically the bra thing.

Which shows that instead of improving upon the tasteful nudity of ME1 we've gone to pubescent immaturity. "Duuur look she's showing teh bra lol!". Awful.

Frankly with that kind of gratuity it's better that the other scenes aren't as drawn out. And hell, Garrus' is just a fade to black but I prefer that over the others.

The problem with the Horizon reunion scene with Kaidan and a non-love interest Shepard is that Kaidan seems way too intense about someone he's just friends with.  If it's a femShep that was never romanced, you can chalk it up to him having feelings that were never requited, but for a guy Shep, I'm sure hearing "losing you was like LOSING A LIMB!!!" was a bit awkward.
Because the game defaults to Kaidan surviving for a femShep and Ash surviving for a maleShep, I have a feeling that the devs wanted to keep romance options open for the last game, by giving the Horizon survivor a "omg I missed you sooooo much" line...but yeah, they should have anticipated guys saving Kaidan or women saving Ashley.
Since, you know, homosexuality between humans doesn't happen in the Mass Effect universe, at least not to Shepard...Posted Image

Yeah, the Fox new rape simulator made .  How could they say it was a rape simulator when you build the relationship up in the first place, before you do the act of love.  It made no sense what so ever.  I hate Fox News, and I consider myself a moderate.    <_<

The whole default start for ME2 is a joke anyway.
I'm not that bothered by the interchangable dialog; man or woman Shep was Kaidan's leader. They saved the galaxy together, that does bring people closer together.

Never actually heard the rape simulator one, though it wouldn't surprise me.
Most of the Fox News bullplop I heard was like "Mass Effect is a porno game for kids" and "Mass Effect promotes lesbian orgies" because lesbians are inherently evil didn't you know, and f/f consensual sex = orgy.

Yeah, everything is a orgy to Faux New it made want to go buy the game instead, because when Faux News yells about something you know its a great game. .

I found Tali's love scene romantic esp when maleShepard removes her mask and sort of smiles. I wish they made it a bot longer.

Quick interrupt...please can someone PM me the instructions for the magic custom avatar? I've got to a certain stage using the DA:O Character Creator, but now I'm kind of stuck and I don't know if it's necessary to have the full game to get it to work. Thanks muchly!

And now back to regularly scheduled Kaidan-ness...

Here's the original piece Fox News did on Mass Effect:

When the "expert" was asked if she'd ever played Mass Effect, and she said "No" the guy who was defending gaming should have just gone "OWNED" and walked away.  Posted Image

I've been thinking along these lines as well. I think Kaidan/Ash/Liara could even come back in ME3 as full blown romance options for everybody including the new players that might come in for ME3. Those playing ME2 for the first time never having played ME might not even know that K/A/L could once be romanced in ME. All they would really have to do is make the dialog for those that had previously romanced them a little more detailed than those who were romancing them for the first time(they would simply have a romantic history with them rather than a professional one).  I mean if the romance didn't have anything to do with it why pick the opposite gender from Shep as the one to save on Virmire. I'm rambling now and not making much sense...even to myself.
