The developers have stated that he is actually 30 and the 50 on the website is relative to human years. Just as the website says Grunt is 20, when in fact he's less than one year old. Mordin did say he had a decade left to live.

I guess I just missed that. Oh well. I guess Mordin can keep living a few more years ... But only if he finds a way to sneak Kaidan on the Normandy in ME3.

Mordin's around 140 by Mass Effect human years,

Mordins' 30, he's got another decade to live.

Actually Mordin in 50 ... which is 10 years longer than most Salarians live ...

When? Why bother to write it this way?

I read it somewhere, can't recall exactly where the devs said he was 30, but it was on the forums and I personally saw the post. Mordin literally talks about his last decade, if he was 50 instead of 30, last decade would not make a lick of sense. Why bother to write it this way? Well, I guess if it would raise some eyebrows if Grunt was said to be 0 years old ;)

They should have put ???? like they did with Jack...

I'm not ragging on you, I just think they didn't think that one through. :P

Hey everyone.

About the topic of having a bad feeling about Me3 and the romance. I really hope Bioware don't go down the tragedy route. I'm getting really tired of it (especially after Alistair in DAO).

I honestly don't think they will be cutting corners with Kaidan/Ash and Liara in Me3. Since they are the only characters that are alive for certain they can take on bigger parts in the plot. The biggest problem as I see it for Bioware is how they are going to solve the situation with all possible combinations of surviving squad mates. I think it's much easier to cut corner there (if Mordin survives he is sidelined and acts as a non squad mate on the ship for example). This is something that will be interesting to see how Bioware handle. My fear is that you get this really big squad and as a consequence they cut down on dialogue. I'd rather have few squad members and lots of character development and dialogue (i thought the size in ME1 was good).

The number of squadmates in ME2 was waaaay too much, IMO. I didn't care about half of them. People that say there was much more interaction with the new squad are fooling themselves; Bioware said that they did the math and have 30% more dialogue in ME2. That doesn't compute to more interaction with double the number if squadmates.

Yea like two dialogues from Garrus if you're not romancing him :P I liked my squad better in Me1. It felt smaller and tighter. Now you have Jacob questioning my decision about recruiting half my squad, Miranda and Jack going at each other. They do ease up a bit after you do their loyalty question though. I just don't get the same nice wibe (maybe because you don't get any elevator conversations between them)

Jack was ???? ? Well then, you have a good point. They probably should have gone with that. Just trying to rationalize what's on the website because currently I have no other ideas. =p

I'm with those who say that if Bioware doesn't give us a good conclusion to the Shepard/Kaidan relationship in ME3, it will be the last penny they ever get from me. Just like KotOR 2 was with Obsidian, and I hate comparing Bioware to them!

Me as well... though I think I already said this.

I got Fable IIed... so I'm distrustful of developers. After ME2 and what happened, there's some serious trust riding on ME3 and what's in it

The Fable II end game choice is choosing between:
a) Lots of money.
B) Your dog and family.
c) The lives of thousands of innocent people.

EA SUCKS WITH GAMES. I just hope that EA doesn't ruin the MASS EFFECT universe that I loves, so much. I have always mistrusted Developers, since they do tend to screw up stuff with ease.

Overinflated promises...

But the glitches were the worst. I got almost every damn glitch that came out with the game. :(

I loved the first KoToR, but if you play KoToR II you find out that your happy ending at the end of the first one didn't turn out so happy after all. Posted Image

Umm... let's see.  KotOR II is essentially what ME2 would have been had Cerberus not resurrected Shepard.  All new main character, who you never get to know as well as you got to know Revan, because Revan has disappeared into unknown space, almost all-new squad, and the LIs from the first game have a cameo about the same length as the Kaidan cameo in ME2.  Without the hope of a ME3 to make everything better.
