Umm... let's see.  KotOR II is essentially what ME2 would have been had Cerberus not resurrected Shepard.  All new main character, who you never get to know as well as you got to know Revan, because Revan has disappeared into unknown space, almost all-new squad, and the LIs from the first game have a cameo about the same length as the Kaidan cameo in ME2.  Without the hope of a ME3 to make everything better.

Actually, there was supposed to be a KOTOR III from Obsidian.  However, because of a tiny little line Darth Treya said regarding the Sith, Lucas supposedly pitched a fit and yanked their license.

I got Fable IIed... so I'm distrustful of developers. After ME2 and what happened, there's some serious trust riding on ME3 and what's in it

 KOTOR.  It is my favorite BioWare game  I enjoyed the NPC interaction, the humor, the whole my wife died my son needs me...... Most wonderful game I've played.   I can go on and on and if you like Kaidan you will probably like Carth.  A lot of the attraction for me was his voice and the writing, and the story, and the flirting.  <sigh> 

I didn't care of KOTOR 2 if you played on the good side, I liked some of the characters and some of the story, but I didn't get the whole ending thing it just confused me.  My step-son-in-law said the dark jedi ending was a little better.  And yes, Fable II was also a letdown, but I didn't expect as much from it as I did from KOTOR 2, even though BioWare didn't do it.

Wait, what was this "tiny little line?"  Was warned off of KotOR2 pretty quickly.

Really?  I didn't know that.  I was actually rather annoyed to hear Bioware is working on an MMO set a few hundred years after the KotOR games instead of making a KotOR III... they didn't do anything to ****** Lucas off, did they?

Most of my BW fear comes from my recent Awakenings playthrough. I could work with the ending in Dragon Age for what it was worth. My ending in Awakenings... bah.

I am going to go submerse my mind in angsty music and work on my Kaidan story. *waves*

This too. The recent developments haven't helped make me feel any better.

I played DAO several times through, I don't really have any desire to play Awakenings again.

I've been looking to get KotOR, but gamestop doesn't carry xbox games anymore, so I have to get it online.



And recent developments? On ME1 LIs? Why is everyone so down right now? Everywhere, even in the support groups!

Dragon Age: Awakenings had very poor carry-overs, especially those of LIs. I think that's where the negativity is coming from.

Whoever at Bioware came up with the brilliant idea that game one LIs shouldn't be more than just a cameo in game two of the series needs to be put in front a firing squad, or at least face a horde of rabid Alistair and Kaidan fangirls.

Of course, since DA:A is from a very different franchise stylistically and not a sequel, it's not really a fair extrapolation.

Seriously, I'm not trying to troll here or anything, but it seems to me like the majority of the doomsaying is just silly.  Things like "BW doesn't care they just want your money cause they're an evil corporation" and "either Ash or Liara or Kaidan fans are screwed because ME3 is going to be too big" have no real foundation; it's just (shoddy) speculation gone waaaaaay out of hand.  It's just, IMO, pointless group-think along the lines of "I'm going to say we're obviously screwed too because it's trendy!"

Again, not trying to troll, but seriously people are making way too much out of almost nothing here.

Ah, I haven't played Awakenings yet. Didn't want to drop $40 on it. I had heard that there wasn't really any romantic content though. That really sucks.

I don't remember the exact line, but it was in her VO on Korriban about the Sith.  It implied something that Lucas didn't even want hinted at.

Bioware had nothing to do with it. 

My husband found this rumor ages ago on the internet.  It wasn't, of course, ever officially confirmed or denied, but ... it's a rumor on the internet.

One of the fics I'm having a problem with writing is that in telling Jack off, Meghan lets out too much of her personal history in an emotional diaherrea of the mouth situation.  I haven't been able to decide if it's too much, or not.  I may end up scrapping it or just have her relate it all to Tali or Garrus.

Hi all! Impsy here! My friend has been reading this thread and pointed me to this post, and I just wanted to thank everybody for all the support on my Shenko fics. Absolutely makes my day reading such awesome comments, and it also encourages my terrible fanfiction habit, which is probably less good, haha.

I wanted to apologize for the lack of updates lately, specifically the fact that there isn't yet a sequel to "Demigod," but I recently moved to a new country and have been super busy adjusting and getting settled and everything. But I promise I am still working on my fics, slowly but surely, and the sequel will come out hopefully within the next couple weeks. Thanks for the love guys!
