You know, I don't think Kaidan meant to have sex with Shepard when he entered quarters before Ilos. Maybe their conversation triggered the idea in his head (I forget what he says when you tell him no sex... I know there's disappointment), but I don't think it was his original intent to go that far, given his cautious nature.

I do think that Kaidan never meant for it too take it to far with Shepard I agree. I tend to think that the night before Ilso, if I let him down will sadden me  too see the disappointment in his eyes..... Though, I do hope it not to sad. I need my new Shepard free in order to get the romance achievement in the next game.

Well he did go into her room with an osd in his pocket with this on it.

Haaaahahaha I can just see him putting that in and turning it on - 
Shepard: What IS that?
Kaidan: It's... uh... well.. you know...
Shepard: .......
Kaidan: It's... *rubs the back of his neck nervously*.... nevermind... 

Haha. I think you're right, though, Fort. I think he didn't intend for it, but he knew that he was fighting a losing battle against better judgment as soon as he stepped close to her (when the heartbeat sound starts).

So true which is why I loved Kaidan  Just like Garrus in the second game he feels like he really loves you, and is not a totoal fail in the love  intrest department like Jaocb was. :happy:

Meh I felt Thane was mediocre. but that just how I FELT about it. The nickname was a real killer for me too. To me Garrus, was a real one he had followers  and everything for your night. If you let him down,  he get all embarrassed about it, and throws the followers in the trash. It  broke my heart when I saw the video of it.

Really?  I never took the obvious "click here for alien sex" path in the flexibility/reach conversation, but the conversation made it look to me like it was more of a "blowing off steam" than anything resembling love.  What happens past that point?

So was Garrus' romance like a real one, or more of a one night stand?

And how do you feel about Thane? I personally liked him, but when I asked here a few days ago many people attacked me.

His whole nickname thing was a real killer apparently.

I like Thane as a friend for my Shepards, but his romance isn't my style. I do understand why some folks would like it, though, so I definely won't knock them for it.

I think Thane's romance and Garrus' romance were the most genuine of all of ME2 (manshep romance options included). I still much much prefer Kaidan over them both, as an LI. Thane/Femshep's relationship seemed to be about redemption and love - very stereotypical tragic-romance style. The nickname thing didn't bother me, I thought it was sweet. Garrus/Femshep's romance was more a friends-that-progressed type thing, but I'm not sure how serious he is about actually loving her - though he was awkward enough that it seemed like he really was nervous, which could imply some real care for her.
