Sane is especially appealing in a game where almost everyone seems to be either nuts, or crazy, or completely loony bin bat **** insane, or with megalomania, or a martyr's complex. Kaiden is a rock. Nice to have people like that if Shep is going to go through hell.

Well, we all think it's totally worth playing again for that, but we're the rabid section of the fan populace. 

It's a really nice scene with Ashley or Liara as well though, so I'm attempting to be reasonable about it...

The Jacob problem isn't just the prize comment, as I've never gotten that far. It's that to initiate the romance, you have to force your fem!Shep to aggressively come on to a guy who says he's really uncomfortable with that behavior. He later has some decent conversations, but there's a comment after his loyalty quest that he's not good enough for Miranda (which implies Shepard isn't as good as Miranda, as he's apparently good enough for her), and then he calls her a prize at the end. It's just full of fail.



As a friend, who wants to spill drinks at the Citadel, and who is glad you helped him deal with his father, and who has a lingering crush on his former flame Miranda, he's fine. *shrugs* I'd totally let him buy me some Tequila shots if we were friends. I'd smack him in the head if he tried more than that, though.

Yeah I thought that was a line just to maleshep.

Nope, femshep gets it too. But to maleShep it can be seen as a compliment. But to a femshep romancing Jacob is an outright insult.

Yep, I've never made it past that initial conversation with Jacob.   Once I heard Shep's voice for that one I reloaded the game and never chose it again.

If you say no, he calls Shep a tease and says something like, you like pushing my buttons, very creepy
