If you respond to TIM with the renegade convo option after Horizon, I get the impression this will end the relationship with Kaidan, even if his pic is still up, what is said makes me think Shep wants to be done with her past. Unless she's just shooting her mouth for TIM's benefit.

Ditto, even in my non-Kaidan romance playtrhough. Speaking of, I really hope Kaidan is romanceable in ME3 if you turn him down in ME1. You know, in case they don't cure Thane.
TIM is quite the douche after Horizon. I hate his methods, and hate the fact that Shepard doesn't have the option to go solo in ME2. It 's very ooc for two of my Sheps to work with Cerberus regardless of circumstances. ME2 seems to ignore any Sheps with principles.

I really want to work with the Alliance again even if they have all those rules - I think it makes it a little more fun.
Also, I've officially depressed myself by thinking of the worst possible meeting up in ME3 .. it's very Romeo and Juliet-esque.
Shepard or Kaidan is in trouble and the other shows up to help and they kill the bad guys (or so they think) and it looks all happy and then just as Shepard and Kaidan are about to embrace/hug/finally get together and have a decent convo. Kaidan gets hit with a critical shot by some dying merc. and you have to do the dying "I love you. I'm sorry about everything. etc." scene.
Stupid song that put this scene in my head. Now I just walk around sad all day hoping it turns out better.
