You make it sound like Jenkins and Conrad are cut from the same fabric.
Distant relatives?
They remind me of the Creevey brothers from HP

Jenkins and Conrad are kind of similar.
But Jenkins is arguably much more adorable in his fanboyism. I think he looks up to the people that are 'teh awesomez' (Nihlus, Shepard, Kaidan, Anderson etc) and wants to be heroes just like them.
Conrad is the kind of guy that would use the same fabric softener as his object of worship. He'd also collect fingernail clippings and food wrappers that were in contact with Shepard.

Okay, so in my current playthrough, I had just spent some time getting drunk with Dr. Chakwas. So now I'm wondering about what exactly led Kaidan to do a biotic throw on Jenkins. Did Jenkins keep going "come on, do it, just one throw" over and over until Kaidan did it just to get the kid to shut up? Or did Kaidan do it much less impulsively with "you sure? oookay..." Or did Kaidan do it willingly knowing it would be a laugh?

Yeah, but that seems so uncharacteristic of the reserved and controlled persona Kaidan has going.
Jenkins must have been really annoying.
I think he was. Probably wore poor Kaidan down, and he's too paragon to pull rank in a hardcore way.
I would have figured him pulling rank before losing his control.
Could have been like the whole Mission/Bastila moment in KOTOR, though.
Jenkins: Hey Kaidan, you ever use your Biotics for fun? Toss someone around just a little bit?
Kaidan: Corporal, being a Biotic is a responsibility you don't take lightly.
Jenkins: Ah come on! There must have been times when you thought about it! Don't be such a tightass!
Kaidan: I am not a tightass! [KAAS: oh yes you do] I've spent years of training to refine and control my biotics to just throw idiots around in a carefree manner!
Jenkins: Idiot? Is that a crack about my combat evaluation because I'll have you know it's simply ridiculous to assume waist-high walls mean there will always be a sneak attack around the corn--
Kaidan: [Biotic Throw]
Jenkins: THAT WAS AWESOME!

I love that cutscene in KotOR (anyone who knows me wolud probably guess that!).
I think that if you kept on at Kaidan, he probably would try to shut you up by giving in, but mean it in the nicest 'ok, you want a demonstration, here is your demonstation...' way. Hmmm *trails off and imagines how if Shenko had a daughter, she'd have him wrapped round her little finger by taking the same approach*

If Shepard, and Kaidan had a daughter she would diffidently have Kaidan wrapped around her little figure like her mother does.

I agree that he is not wrapped around her finger, and I wouldn't want him to be. So much sexier when he stands up for himself and what he believes in.

Should post that in the Ashley Thread. It was lovely. Those were exactly the poems I could picture her choosing for Shep.
O Captain, my captain, indeed.
