@sapphy - yeah most of my Sheps wear minimal make-up cause it just doesn't fit in with my idea of battlefield preparation, lol
My Shep doesn't wear a lot of make up either just the eye makeup, I agree that Shep shouldn't look like she's going out clubbing.
Makeup in DAO doesn't bother me though, maybe because my mage is always in a dress.

DA has a character uploader for all versions of the game (PC, 360, PS3), but you can only modify the files of your saved characters for the upload (so far as we know) with the PC version.

The process is buggy as hell, I managed to get my test picture uploaded that I now use as my avatar but I wasn't able to to repeat the process successfully a second time.

I love the toolset for DAO. I spent almost as much time with the toolset creating different morphs (made better preset faces or applied new faces directly in game) as in the actual game playing. Making Alistair dark haired is

It's one of the reasons why I bought ME for my xbox instead of computer. No toolset to play around with, and it's much more comfy to sit in the sofa and play with a bigger screen.

I tinkered with all my companions once I had the original morph files to play around with.
I know it's blasphemy but I also changed Alistair's hair too, I didn't care for his original hairstyle though I do prefer him as a blond.

I am 10x more comfortable with PC gaming controls to console gaming, so even though I've played some ME on the console (and KotOR), I do better with the PC versions. I blame this on playing MMOs for the better part of the last 8 years.

I originally bought ME for the 360 (since the PC version was not immediately available). It was either a birthday or christmas present for the BF. We did not have our awesome flat panel yet so he refused to play much since he couldn't see very well on the old TV. Roommate played through it a few times, but that was about it.

yea I'm more comfortable with pc controls too. I havn't really played any fps or tps games before so my aiming skills was far from good first time through the game (feels 10x more difficult to aim with xbox hand control). Had my 16 year old brother visit while I was playing and his comment was "wtf, you can pause and aim??". The pausing helped me out tons first time through. The learning curve isn't that steep though, just have to get used to it and it's quite easy.

I'm sure I could get used to it, but with the PC version I get to take all sorts of yummy screenshots of Kaidan in ME1, and videos of Kaidan. And sad videos of Kaidan in ME2. *thinks of her series of Horizon vids*

Just to go back and grumble about the (ME1) character creator a little bit more, the presets are pretty much horrible, the noses are awful and most of the mouths are terrible too. I really hate that we don't get to rotate Shep a full 360 degrees like we do with our Wardens in DAO. My Bellara actually got a lot prettier after her import into ME2 (along with larger breasts and better posture, apparently).
Even then, it's funny how different Shep can look in game, for example, compare my avatar, which is Bellara in the character creator screen to this, which is her in Horizon IIRC:

Cerberus breast implants, yep video games are designed by men.

Ah yes, that's a MAJOR drawback with xbox. I hate not being able to take screenshots in game (and making a custom ME avatar). Screenshot function for xbox would be great, and being able to transfer shots to social page with xbox live.

Bellara doesn't seem very happy. I think she knows things are going to go badly on Horizon. *comforts Bellara*

None of the noses really work, IMHO. They're either too big or too wide, or just tiny ski slope noses. That being said, I did actually find a nose that looks quite a bit like mine, hee.
Incidentally, am I the only person who sticks with the same femshep looks?
My second ME1 Shep was this one, but with blue eyes. I tried making a blonde and a redhead but didn't like how their faces came out (too different, yet too similar at the same time). Besides, it didn't feel right seeing ANOTHER WOMAN with Bellara's Kaidan.
ETA: It's hard to get the eyebrows at the height you want them too! Hers are as far down as they can go, but she still looks mildly surprised in her pics.

Fortunately, Kaidan says that Shep is beautiful to him, no matter what she looks like.
Right?
