I don't remember the film. But as you describe it, something similar may actually happen in ME.
And we need to remember that in this case 'our' technology is quite compatible with reaper technology.

I'm hoping for one epic spacebattle with all races united. Ships and crews in all shapes and sizes outfitted with the latest tech to deal with the Reapers. But since Shepard needs a big role, I'm sure the Normandy will most likely drop her off on the biggest, baddest Reaper out there to disable the leader...or something.

Or maybe she and kaidan will go through hell to destroy a little trinket that will be the end of all Reapers but the tech in her won't allow her to and the Reapers keep calling to her...*coughs*...then again if they go the Lotr route, we'll get like 6 happy endings

I honestly don't mind 6 happy endings I can live with more... if they include Kaidan that is.

Soo... I've found a way to take high res screens in Mass Effect, but what I got is this thing... I'm trying to find a way to toggle GUI somehow, maybe some of you saw this problem before?

Completely random but I just stumbled over one of the links on an early page featuring a video of the German version... it made the hairs on my neck stand up, lol - and that even though I am German.



And not only the voice is just not what it should be - the darn formal/informal use of you... urgh! Am I glad that I started playing all my games in English whenever I could.

I can't even reply ME2 because of that. It is so depressing when your virtual LI turns your back on you, I have enough of that inreal life

Haven't been there in ages.

I miss Kaidan. Stupid storyline of ME2 and not being able to take Kaidan along. Two years for a short cameo. Gah, I need more.

I skipped through most of it last play through, the dialog for Shep is just so horribly written.

Yeah, I think it's mostly Sbarge's voice acting that gets to me. And I've noticed that if you stick to the neutral responses the first two times, it doesn't sound -that- bad.

At least there are so many talanted people that share their fanfics and pictures with us and that fills the void. In many case what they do is much better that the what is ingame too.

I letf myself a save just before Normandy got grounded. I was playing with a flycam, and while Shepard is sitting under lockers, you can move the camera, later, when Kaidan picks her up, cam's freezing in this position:

I didn't even bother quoting Shep.  What she says is so.... ineffectual and impotent.  It's just pointless.
