Blegh now I'm feeling that stone on my heart again just like I had when playing ME2 for the first time. Damn Horizon! Just a few more years before we can talk to Kaidan....pfft. Okay patience is a virtue, right?

He's worth it. Otherwise, pre-Ilos saves might help.

What Darazelly said.  *hugs*

Or, Sinvraal always cheers me up.  Three cheers for good fanfiction.

LoL...  yeah at times like that I would like to strangle myself for my own signature... or maybe strangle the signature...
I am so hoping it won't last as long... but then again if it doesn't - it means the ME Saga will be over...
Darn spring - always messes up my moods... like a rollercoaster....

Yeah will eventually get those saves. Can't bring myself to playing through ME and ME2 at the moment, dunno why. Oh well, there's always photoshop to make a gal feel better.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

Strangely though, I found it harder to do another playthrough after I read a ton of fanfiction. It is so difficult to read it and then play the game - knowing how it could have gone or ended.

I don't really have a problem with starting up the game and play for a few hours. Probably because I play it through with quite a bit of time inbetween...

I think it's the knowing and the not knowing. ME1 with Kaidan was great, ME2 heartbreaking but understandable...you know there's going to be a third chapter but you don't know where it's going. Will they get their happily ever after or not? Until I know, playing will be bittersweet. Despite ME1, I know what's coming in ME2 and I hate my Shepard on Horizon...she's so out of character for me at least.

Same for Dragon Age, no matter what you do you know how it's going to end. There is no ending that's satisfying for me, hence why I haven't played Awakenings either. Just can't. Alistair is great, but the writers are just taking things too far with my Warden...and because it feels like she's MY warden, I can't sit and watch my screen while all the crap unfolds.

Maybe I just need to stop viewing the characters I make as my characters and things will be a lot easier ;)

I know I wouldn't say a word about my current project again but this was just so sweet.

Photoshop is open and I'm zoomed in on Carth to fix his face a bit. Meanwhile I'm talking to my bf about how much work it is and while I'm working on the pic he gets up and asks to see the normal shot. So I zoom out to show him 3 hot, shirtless guys. And he's like : "Oh wow, that's starting to look good. Still needs a lot of work, but the guy on the left is pretty much done right?"

That's Alistair btw ;) So I tell him I'm not quite happy with Alistair either, but I'm loving the chest hair I gave him and the bf just laughs and points at Carth. "He getting some too?"

And I tell him most of us don't like smooth chests and he just gives me this wide grin. (yes he has hair on his chest too)....awwww....now I feel better :)

Good luck with that!
I never manage to distant myself from my characters - hence me never playing a Renegade character. When I like my creations I just can't stirr them in a way that I wouldn't go.
And yes, not having the slightest clue of what might come in ME3 is exciting and yet unsettling. I am hoping that BW is not stupid and realizes the massive amount of female gamers amongst their customers and how many of them actually like Kaidan or Thane or whatever else male character they provide us with as possible LI. I hope they will know when to stop the Drama and when to give us a happy end.

DA:O - well yeah I was certainly not happy with that stupid smile on Morrigan's face when she performed that 'ritual' but I just didn't want him to die and I wanted them to be happy. I am not so much worried about Morrigan and her little brat... we can take them! *repeats it over and over again so she can actually believe it*

Heh... well I guess I am one of the few that actually does like smooth chests. No problem with that at all. I can do with a bit of hair but if I want a teddy, I get myself a stuffed animal or a dog to snuggle.

I just skip that cutscene after my first playthrough! Alistair is worth it and probably didn't enjoy it (he looks so worried, lol)

Still know it happens though. So to save the life of the one you love you practically force him to sleep with another woman and conceive a child. Sounds easy right?
So you become king and queen (princess-consort) or you two ride off into the sunset together, or you become his mistress while he again has to sleep with another woman to conceive a child.

And then there's the Awakening's ending...so even the glimpse of a bittersweet ending gets ripped to shreds? No thanks. Would rather sit through the latest Final Fantasy and watch 12 year olds with a crappy English translation try to convince me they are at least 20.:P

I hear ya. He is actually backing away from her, lol. That made me feel a little better. But yes, I don't watch it anymore either. I just want to rip her head off after that.

 Riiight... that went a bit further than it was supposed (and that sounded better in my head (one of my favorite Alistair lines). Well, I'm still hoping for at least one hairless Kaidan pic for me one day... even if I am a minority here. Yeti-lovers... oh boy...

The thing that annoys me is that BW encourage us to think of them as our characters, force us into making decisions we don't want to make - Virmire, sleeping with Morrigan, but then take the decisions we do want out of our hands by coming up with an unsatisfying ending (Awakenings), or cameos with writing that lets us down, or bad writing in romances *cough* Jacob.

LoooL... when I first talked to Jacob in my very first playthrough, I actually reloaded the savegame because I was wondering if I had accidentally hit the 'flirt' option.

No no, not yeti-lovers..far from it lol
There are hairless Kaidan pics btw, just look at the original shots and I did a few hairless ones a while ago. Winde's art is pretty much hairless too I think.
No hair on the original Kaidan, so you're in luck I suppose :P

Agreed. Oh gosh, I hope things go back to normal in ME3. Normal lines for Shepard and Kaidan please!
