ME does feel more mature, even though DA is dark and gritty. Funny. I'm glad Alistair is the cute fool type, but at times I get tired of handwalking him through everything and just want to slap him silly.
Kaidan is older and reacts accordingly, thankfully.

Yea this is exactly what i felt too. He's sweet but the constant nursing gets anoying. I think a major problem with DAO is all the origins. You have to make a really generic story around the main character because of that which made me have problems with becoming immersed into the story (like you being the leader even though you played the game like a inexerienced mage).

Playing through ME1 after DAO you really get to appreciate Kaidan more (though I prefer dark haired, mature guys rl, so that might be the reason :x)

Yes creating too many choices in a game does seem to limit development a whole lot more. Origins for DA, and now LI's for ME2...more choices, more options, less depth. Tough call.

Kaidan feels more like the 'guy next door' ...not that I have a hotty like that living next door, or anywhere near for that matter

Just viewed the forum briefly and the appearance pack caught my eye. Can you imagine them creating one for Kaidan in ME3? What would it be? Can you picture Kaidan with sunglasses?

My random thoughts :

I can actually excuse Alistair because of the whole getting packed off to the chantry thing. He's never had to think for himself or make his own decisions, so he follows the lead of an inexperienced warden who is far more used to making decisions & dealing with stuff.



Kaidan is much older and wiser and has had to come to terms with things and who he is from a much earlier age.



Both romances were well written in terms of how they fit into their respective game environments though.

Yeah I can imagine that scenario - knocking on the neighbours door in just a towel - hi I got sidetracked and left the bath running, now my place is flooded and all my clothes are wet,  you don't mind if I stay here tonight do you?

Hi Jenova, I probably should be doing some cleaning and tidying up around here while my teens are away but I get distracted too easily, lol. Currently just fiddling around with some fanfic, but its 9.30pm here so no housework tonight anyway.

I see you have the same problem with your teens as I do with mine, lol.  How old are yours? Mine are 18 and 15 + a (nearly) one year old (next Saturday)

2 boys - 17 & 18.  Unfortunately they have been influenced too much by their father and think that housework is 'womens work', although the 17 year old did offer to wash up for me yesterday so I may finally be getting through to them, lol  although I still get the joy of doing the lawns as well unless I offer a financial incentive.

Good morning and sweet dreams!  My husband works a night job, so I feel for you, it can be a real pain trying to do stuff with him on his days off, because of his sleep cycles.  But you have an important job, so kudos!

I am all bouncy and excited about Jho's next pic...no pressure, though...
