i'm still new to following this thread, but i must say, you guys are hilarious. and this is a much nicer thread to follow than most - nicer people, and more pictures of kaiden. thumbs up.

though i am not a fan of alistair, i will grant you that he's hot. and perhaps i'm just really messed up, but i thought he was even hotter covered in blood.
i'm not a vampire fangirl either. i just found that hot. he's being protective? perhaps the only time when he seemed to be aggressive? ehhhh.... probably shouldn't analyze this too much. might realize something very odd about meself.

On the topic of Alistair, I think he ha his charm and i'm grateful Bioware decided to create a really sweet female romance (there have been a tenedency for stoic paladin type of characters). He's really a heart melter (flower, kiss etc) but it can be just as anoying in other cases (i get he doesn't want to become a king but my char didn't want to become a warden, soak it up :x). I think he fits the fantasy type of universe and my young inexperienced warden. That's why I think it's difficult comparing Alistair with Kaidan. Imo Kaidan is a perfect match for my Shepard in the ME setting. She need all the strong hands at her side she can get to beat the reapers. It just feels like a more mature game (I don't see Shepard recruiting sexual harassing drunkard dwarves for instance

ja. i guess i found alistair to be very...highschool. mebbe college. reminded me of guys i knew freshman year. could make your heart melt, but when you really got to know them...somewhat immature and unwilling to take responsibility for anything. i suppose you can help alistair grow up, but that's what i loved about kaiden - he had already become a pretty impressive man on his own.
sigh. i guess truth be told, when i started playing DAO i was still carrying a gamer torch for kaiden. alistair had no hope, not even with his MUCH better haircut.

You know, someone mentioned on this thread the other day that Kaidan should have been able to use a biotic bubble on Horizon, rather than use an AR, like Ashley. And that is so true, it's once again another reminder how poorly laid out and written ME2 is with Kaidan and Ash.
i want to see that! there's some line in the elevators on citadel in ME1 where random squadmember (in my case, garrus) says to kaiden, "your biotics are really impressive" and then they go on to compare the problems with L2 implants vs. the power of them. okay, so if bada** garrus or bada**er wrex is impressed by kaiden, how come we never get to see a display of this? and he never really shows off his tech genius either. i would love to see nice-guy kaiden unleash some of that biotic fury. and get covered in blood mebbe? why do i like the idea of that? hmmmm....
